I went to the Aquamarina for Christmas 2007. I went with my family Mum Dad and 2 little brothers who are 8 and 11, I am 25 so thought I would be bored but thanks to the entertainment team I had the best holiday ever. Jesus, Ivan, Joseph, Maria and Chicken (Carlos) really made the holiday, with their games by the pool during the day and their shows are night. Also the restaurant and bar staff was excellent, really friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault the hotel in anyway. My family is going back this Christmas and I will definitely be going with them.

The worst time ever! Cancun was great, coco bongo was smashing, but the hotel was distasteful. We made our reservation 8 months in advance and when we got there they didn’t have our room, we got robbed right in the lobby, got a room with a broken ac, elevator broke several times, food was bad and repetitive, staff hounded you day and night, far from all the tourist areas, the sand on their beach was mud... I won’t rant on and on about it, but because of that hotel our otherwise perfect trip was ruined. If I could rate a zero I would! Awful, awful, awful!!!

Six of us stayed at the hotel Aquamarina Cancun for 10 nights (1/5-1/15/06) and we had a great time. We booked 2 rooms, and were going to put 3 people per room, but they reserved one double room & one with a king size bed. We needed 4 beds, so instead of putting us at different ends of the hotel, they gave us the penthouse suite which had a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 stories, and 3 balconies for no extra charge! The food was fine; they just prepare it a little different than in the US. The rooms are clean, service is great, bartenders and entertainment are wonderful... The beach isn't the greatest, we just jumped on a bus for 6 pesos and went to one of the public beaches on the east side of the hotel zone. They are beautiful here. I've stayed at the 4-5 star resorts in Cancun, but I'd rather save $500 and stay on the bay side, than have that beach on the resort property! All 6 of us would definitely go back to the Aquamarina for our next vacation.

We had a great time at Aquamarina Cancun! The bed was hard but we were so busy during the day that we died at night. The staff was great very helpful, happy, and the entertainment was great. The staff brought us to the Coco Bongo walked in and didn't have to stay in line up, gave us a table and a waiter to look after us the place was just vibrating, not into the night life but we left at 5:30 in the morning glad we went. Had a great time at the lobby bar at night. People in Cancun very friendly and helpful. My husband wanted to go back with friends to show them how much fun it is there. Talked to people that stayed in 5 stars and glad we stayed at the Aquamarina it is not a 5 star when it came to the food. But it was with the staff. We met people from all over the world and they seemed to have a good time too. The rooms were very clean. Was told by a friend to leave something on the pillow for the cleaning lady but she would not take it until I left her a note she could have it.

The hotel AquaMarina Beach was nice. The food was good, but very redundant. The beach was not what I expected from the pictures. It was rocky and not much sand. It also had two docks running right down the beach.

Awesome! Absolutely loved the Aquamarina Beach Cancun. Went down with iffy expectations, but I have no complaints. Beach is not the greatest, but that didn’t matter. Staff was amazing, the entertainers were a riot. Perfect spot for students, it was cheap, rooms were great, everything was close, so much fun!

This place was FANTASTIC. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was quite tasty, but there were off days. I suggest keeping the hot tub open till at least midnight. Other then that, the Aquamarina Beach Cancun is a perfect place to stay.

Ended up at the Aquamarina Beach Cancun because our travel agent screwed up a booking elsewhere. Didnt know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised - the food was good, and the service more than adequate. The rooms were very nice, and large. The pool area was nice, and comfortable for a family with small kids - not so large that you lose track of them, and safe-feeling, so you can let them roam. Not the greatest beach, but overall a very good experience. I would stay there again.

I would stay at the Aquamarina Beach Cancun again, but the lady that worked in the gift shop was very unpleasant. Everyone on the event staff was great and did their best to keep all of us entertained. Food is OK, but you get what you pay for and the price is great. The rooms are excellent and I thought the pool area and beach were sufficient. I would definitely stay there again because the price is the best in Cancun. If you keep your expectations in check, this is a wonderful place to spend a vacation.

While the rooms were nice, the beach and pool ok and the food edible(at least) there were some problems with the staff at the Aquamarina Beach Cancun. Often times the staff in the lobby was just not very accessible or friendly and in one incident we ran into someone who was just down right rude! If customer service is of great importance to you then I would not advise staying here. However if all you really care about is getting a tan and that the rooms are nice then this is a great deal!
