The Bahia Principe hotel in Mexico was FANTASTIC! The staff was all very friendly and like many foreign countries put the English to shame. They were extremely welcoming, friendly and could not do enough for you. The complex was very large and offered all you could ever dream of or need. The food I would give 8/10 loads of choice, all very fresh and presented with care, however, all tasted the same after a while. This place was a paradise we spent two weeks there in June 2005 and would highly recommend it to anyone! If you like relaxing, clean, tropical environments with the option of loads of water sports, diving, snorkeling, spa's, dancing, games etc... This is the place for you. A little far from Cancun as taxi's are very expensive but many tourist trips are nearby (most of the main ones you would require). 10/10 overall you can't go wrong! If you've booked be excited your gonna love it! Just pack plenty of sun lotion :-)

We had our first trip to Mexico in 2002. The Bahia Principe is a gorgeous resort, the food, the beach, the staff, the rooms; in fact absolutely everything was first class. The memories of this holiday have always lingered - so much that I've booked again for next month!

We just returned from a week stay at the Bahia Principe. First of all let me say that the resort was absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The staff was outstanding and service was exceptional. Our room was very clean and the maid service was the best ---Thanks Rosario. The pools were beautiful and there were several, so if you are a pool person then this is the place for you. However, there were things that we and our traveling friends found that did not suite our tastes. The beaches were rocky the sand was a crushed coral and very difficult to walk on. True, you could snorkel off the beach if you could find a place to get into the water. The water was shallow and you were either in the water or you were out... just stand there or snorkel in two feet of water... even in the good areas of the beach there were rocks in the sand some the size of footballs... you really had to watch where you were going. The forth day out my husband tripped and broke his toe on one of these little??? rocks. The shuttles were always full at dinner time ...we waited for an hour then took the shuttle to the Akumal side for dinner (remember my husband broke his toe). The drinks were really watered down and never made the same way twice. The food was prepared awful. Tasted awful too. Same night after night. This was our fifth all-inclusive and the worst as far as beach, food, and drinks. Now this resort is definitely for those who love nice surrounding, pools and don't drink( or eat). The grounds are huge for bicycling and walking. We like to walk on the beach. I am not a negative person and I supposed I have opened up myself for a barrage of comments. But we will not go back again.

This place was amazing! The staff was awesome and the Mayan people have to be the nicest ones in the world! I would go back to this resort in a heartbeat! The snorkeling was awesome and I really couldn’t think of another place I would rather be right now! Much love to the Mayans and everybody at Bahia Principe Tulum!

I loved Bahia Principe Tulum resort. The beach was amazing and the staff was wonderful! I especially liked the dance they taught us every day by the pool! The staff was the best especially the guy from Toronto! He was soooooo funny! I would definitely go there again!

We visited Mexico for the 1st time in the fall of 2001. We fell in love with beauty of the Mayan Riviera and have visiting every year! So far, of all the hotels, Bahia Principe Tulum ranks the best service, the amazing variety of food, and the best beach! Love the lush green grounds and the clean rooms! Bit far from Cancun (1.5hr) but free shuttle to fun town of Playa Del Carmen (1/2hr) and close to Tulum. Definitely get what you pay for! Will return once we can!

We stayed at Bahia Principe Tulum in September 1999. The staff and service was fabulous. Everything was so clean and the beach and waters are out of this world. Would recommend this to anyone. We took our three sons with us who were 11, 14 and 16 at the time. They still talk about it now. Absolutely brilliant.

Stayed at Bahia Principe Tulum on my honeymoon (9/1/02), and it was wonderful. Service is willing, food was very good, room was always clean, and mini-fridge always stocked :) Beautiful hotel, with a beautiful reef for snorkeling just off shore. I plan to go back this fall for my 1st anniversary!

Bahia Principe Tulum was the best hotel I have ever been to. The food was great and the service was amazing. There was always something to do, from looking in the shops in the hacienda to just laying on the beach. There were also different things that would go on, on the beach, like the pottery painting stand. The rooms were so clean and inviting. I could not imagine staying anywhere else.
