From the minute we checked in to this hotel to the minute we checked out, we encountered nothing but problems. We changed rooms three times in two days because 1) they didn’t have the room we ordered and paid for and 2) numerous things were broken in the rooms. We found hair in the food and presented it to the manager and nothing was said or done about it. The front desk hotel staff were rude and obviously not willing to help us by correcting their own mistakes and errors. We found roaches in our hotel building and it took them over 24 hours to remove them. Once we found the hair in the food, we started going outside the hotel to eat, which is very unfortunate because we paid for an all inclusive package. This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and their front desk staff made it even worse. Because of this horrible experience we no longer have any desire to revisit Cancun as they have ruined the whole experience and country for us.

We travelled the 10 hour flight from scotland to go here and it was well worth the travel. We had a fantastic time in Cancun and plan to go back jan 08. Words of advice though: entertainment at night tends to get boring as we are only in our 20's we were out most of the time but if you plan on being at the hotel every night you may want to re consider, The staff is very friendly especially at the beach bar they go out there way to help make your holiday as good as possible. This is a nice hotel and would suit anyone, I just think they need to improve their entertainment. Cancun all in all was amazing clubs and pubs are great, shopping is great, trips are great, weather is great and everyone is so friendly you feel so safe here. Would recommend to anyone. (got to go to Coco Bongo no matter what age you are) have fun we did! Be back jan 08.

I just got back from 4 wonderful days at the Barcelo Costa Resort. This was my first time visiting Cancun and I am definitely going back! The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was pretty good but I think it was just not the kind of food I'm used to eating. The pool was sparkling clean and our rooms were kept very clean as well. We had no problems checking in or out. I would recommend this resort to everyone!
