Hotel info:
Boca Paila Lodge is a true saltwater fishing paradise. Searing bonefish runs. Hard fighting permit. Wiley tarpon. Endless pristine flats. Blue skies and nights filled with stars. A relaxing hideaway far from today's crowded world.
One visit to the easy-to-get-to Caribbean angling wonderland will prove why we set the standard for international flats fishing. And when the day winds down, cool drinks, and hearty, healthy food are waiting back at the Lodge.
Boca Paila lies within the Sian Ka’an National Park/Biosphere Reserve. Established in 1986, the park’s goal is protecting and conserving flora, fauna and ecosystems while remaining considerate of the needs of local people. Since commercial netting was banned in the lagoons in 1986, the fishing results have been nothing short of spectacular and an enforcement system has been put in place to guarantee the lagoon remains viable for future generations.
"Mi casa es su casa". This simple saying literally translates to "my house is your house", and epitomizes the philosophy of Lodge owner Paly Gonzalez and her attentive staff. Since 1966, clients have returned season after season, year after year. And they all give her rave reviews. We’ve hear a lot of "at the end of the week we felt like family" so we know we’re doing something right.
Guests stay in spacious duplex bungalows, each with it’s own private bath, nestled in stately palm trees and white sand beaches. You can walk the beach for miles and never see another soul. Easterly trade winds cool the lodge complex. Located on a narrow spit of land between the Caribbean surf 60 yards to the east and the expansive lagoon and flats to the west.
