The Casa Papagayo is fully air-conditioned and has a two room, apartment style, interior layout consisting of the living-dining-kitchen area in one room, and the master bedroom in the other. The master bedroom is large and has a series of windows that lets in lots of light. The main living space in the other room is very comfortable and open, plenty big enough for entertaining. A third room (the bathroom) is wedge shaped and has a very cool glass brick shower, quite illuminating.

From the kitchen a door opens to an exterior stairway that ascends to the rooftop observation deck. This is nicely furnished and great place to lounge and tan while enjoying a great view of the Caribbean. There is usually a refreshing breeze coming off the water. A path in front of the casa leads directly through some greenery on the primary dune and out onto the iron shore coastline and surf.

A palapa roof provides shade at the edge of the greenery so surf watchers can sit and enjoy the view and breeze. There is also a snorkeling entry for the adventurous directly in front of the palapa, but only on days when the sea is absolutely calm. Swim shoes are required.
