My husband and I have visited the Catalonia four times and had a blast each time. We have taken our son there (5 now) and he loved the Kids Club. Great family atmosphere. Good service, food, drinks, and staff.

Remember to study up on your spanish before you go, so that you can understand some of the staff. Bring plenty of cash if you want to buy something at the gift shops. They don't have much luck with buying something with a credit card.

I just recently went to Catalonia Riviera Maya in November 2007. It was the best trip I had ever been on. It has wonderful beaches, and the staff is very friendly. You will always have something to occupy your time while you are at Catalonia Rivera Maya. You will have a great time if you go. There are plenty of bars and pools around the hotel. It is also a great place to take your kids.
