Got back today after two weeks at the hotel Crown Paradise Club. Our room was very nice with the maid coming in every day, great view of the sea and beach. The staff was very friendly, helpful and would always help you. The main buffet food did get a bit boring at times but the other areas to eat like Wayne’s Boots was very nice as was the other diner’s, I would certainly return to this hotel if I was going to return to Cancun.

UMBRELLA'S UNBRELLA'S UMBRELLA'S were the only thing missing from this holiday and without them you FRIED!! No cover/shade was available at any of the outdoor pools at Crown Paradise Cancun. We went through six bottles of factor-30 suntan lotion. Could not understand why the BOOM BOOM music had to be played at all of the pools. The pool on the first floor was shown as the relaxing pool it would have been but for the barman bringing his own beat box. We kept on complaining but nothing was ever done so we gave up.

We just finished a one week stay at Crown Paradise Cancun and will go back again. There are no reservations required for the restaurants anymore, which is nice. The adult’s pool does overlook a water treatment facility and you will occasionally get a smell. We thought all non-motorized equipment (snorkels, kayaks, etc) were included but there isn't any around. The food was great! Wayne's boots is a definite and we rode the mechanical bull. Try different side trips and see the country. We got out of there just before everything was closed due to Hurricane Emily.

On arrival getting checked into the hotel was very easy going. Once we got to our room on the second floor, the room smelled like old mildew the beds were hard getting into bed felt like the sheets were damped. The bar by the lobby where you can get drinks in the plastic cups and burgers and hotdogs I saw a huge rat crawling inside the bar food area the waiter didn't think anything about it. The food was so not good. Me and my family will not be back ever. My 7 yr old son quoted this hotel is not nice mommy that said it all. I rate the Crown Paradise a 2 1/2 stars and that is being nice.

We were led to believe we were staying at a 5.5 star hotel, our travel agent/s was Funjet Vacations, we paid a hefty sum to stay at the Crown Paradise hotel for a week, they also made us believe that every room in the hotel had a Jacuzzi in it, this in actual fact is not true, this hotel is a 3 star at best. When we checked in to our room, we caught wind of a horrible stench that permeated the room, it seems the smell was being emitted from the bathroom which had a stopped up sewer problem, that was truly nauseating, the room looked like it had not been painted in years, it was an awful color fading slowly, bad first and lasting impression, we tried to get another room but were told they were fully booked and if we wanted to upgrade off course we had to pay extra, I was livid!, stuck it out that night but the next morning marched straight down to reception and spoke with a manager, they put us a on waiting list of people wanting to be moved to other suitable rooms, eventually our number was called and we were moved to another wing of the hotel which we were told was newly renovated, while this room was not as bad looking as the first room, yet again, we had the same problem with the toilet, every five minutes the toilet would bubble up like a half stopped up drain and then a foul smell would escape, my three year old became very afraid to use the bathroom and became constipated with the result, clearly it made no sense to complain again. While the service was excellent, I cannot say the same about the food, it seems the only people who enjoyed the food were the people who consumed much alcohol, I suppose if you drunk enough the taste of the food is not a factor, the one day my husband went to the Mexican grill section and seen a cockroach run across the spoon rest and then off the side and fell onto the grill, the chef quickly scraped it off, grabbed it with a piece of paper towel and threw it away, she then turned to him and asked him what could she make him to eat. So the next remaining couple of days, we ate mainly fruit, bread and cheeses. We never received any bottled or canned drinks, and then to make matters worse, the soft drinks were watered down by ice, it had a weird taste to it. We opted to buying all our drinks and did exactly that. The activities and some amenities they offered were okay, my daughter enjoyed the kid's pool section, the beach was lovely albeit there was a lack of shore, if you spend enough time on the beach you almost never need to go back to your hotel room :),I would definitely not recommend this hotel, not if your spending good money for something decent with good food and no worries!.

This was my second try at an all-inclusive and it will now be my last. The hotel Crown Paradise is nice. Our room was great - we were booked in one of the honeymoon suits in error, even though we had our 12-year-old son with us. Turned out to be the best room in the hotel. That’s the end of the good side. ----- Here’s the scam. One reason we selected this hotel was the large selection of eating choices. Trouble is you have to make your reservations 24 hours in advance and if you want to make sure to get in, you need to call before 8am. Not really the way we plan our vacation days. But to add insult to inconvenience, the restaurants only fill up to less than 50% occupancy and if you try to get a table they will not let you dine unless you did make the reservation 24 hours in advance. The worst was Waynes Boot. That place would be almost empty and they would not let anyone in who did not make that reservation. One night we were eating upstairs and there were only 5 tables full - there were at least 20 empty and we watched them send people away for not having reservations. -----Scam #2. They advertise all these bars but only staff 3. We were in the 50's club when we learned this. After dinner we moved over to the bar area thinking we could enjoy an after dinner drink. The waiter came over and told us to go over to the lobby bar. I flat out asked him "Is this bar just for looks?" He said, "Yes". The only bar other than the stand at the pool is in the lobby. That a place is so overcrowded and understaffed I sat next to one lady that left a $20 bill in front of her drink to get their attention. Others we saw tipping like mad just to get service. When you do get a cocktail its served in a plastic cup. A small plastic cup. Some people went to the hotel shops and bought larger glasses to use. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. ----- We did pick this hotel because it looked so kid friendly. It’s more than kid friendly - its Chucky Cheeses! We dined early - usually the 6:30 "seating" and it was like an out of control day care. This place is not at all what it advertises!

We stayed for 14 nights at the Crown Paradise Cancun. The food was great, the staff was extremely efficient, but I must warn you about a couple of things: First of all, the adult pool overlooks the sewage plant... The best pools are reserved for families. Way to many kids, and noise. The sewage plants sends odors your way, so plan on having enough drinks to block it out... Second of all, I got sick, the whole first week we were there, and as close as I can tell it was either from eating the deep fried fish, or fresh salad produce. Almost ended up in the hospital. Talking to others, they were adamant that no one eats fish if they want to live. hahaha. Live and learn. Other than those two things, it wasn’t a bad place to stay. Service and food were excellent. Went to the sister property all adult inclusive, but they had only one pool, and way way too many activities and loud speakers going all day. No relaxation there. The beach at the spa facility is beautiful and non-existent at this hotel, so if playing in the ocean is your thing, go somewhere else.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and it wasn't long enough. There is so much to see and do, that you need at least two weeks just to get to all the restaurants, bars and shows. We stayed in a club room which was large and had everything you could want. Our room maid, Aiba, was a sweetheart and made our stay very enjoyable. We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in all the restaurants we went to. Wayne's boots had great food and service, the main buffet was huge and the food very good. No complaints about food on service. There are great facilities for families with children and the pool areas get crowded but there is an adult only pool that offers a quieter atmosphere. The one tower of the hotel is for adults only, which we stayed in, and is much quieter. The hotel and grounds are kept very clean, you always saw staff working and cleaning. We would definitely stay at the Crown Paradise again.

I would rate The Crown Paradise hotel a 5 star. Excellent view of the ocean from your room. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Great place if you have kids, they will never be bored. Bus service to the city and other places along the hotel strip is excellent. When I go back to Cancun I will definitely stay at this hotel. Very satisfied.

Went in feb,05 with spouse, the Crown Paradise is only good if you bring your kids, lots of waterslides and kiddy areas, too many kids, didn’t expect so many! ----- We requested nice ocean view and balcony, they told us we weren’t guaranteed one, but they’d try. Once there, we were told very booked ,so we ended up with 1st floor ugly partial view of the water overlooking the kids trampoline ,waterslide etc. I complained to front desk, slipped the dude some green and next day had top floor with good ocean view overlooking the adjacent el pueblito hotel. They don’t tell you all the good rooms in the u-part, overlooking pool are reserved for repeat customers or have the more expensive Jacuzzi rooms. ----- This hotel has too many people for the size of pool and beach area, you have to get down by pool by 6:30 am and place a towel or book, or to put on a lounge chair to reserve it.. For a spot by big pool or their all taken. The adults-only pool is ok with swim-up bar if you don’t mind a lagoon side view. ----- You’ll have a hard time making a reservation at a restaurant, (they recommend doing it early 7-10 am ), because the phone line first of all is not answered, then its always busy, and you don’t want to spend all day on phone in room.. Although after 9pm walk-ins allowed. ----- If you go here and are disappointed and want better food, ambiance, and adults-only and a beautiful hotel with huge beach area and a outdoor hot tub overlooking ocean, (go to its sister hotel ,the Golden Crown Paradise!) Behind Ritz-Carlton hotel, they offer free shuttle to it. ------ Watch out for time share sharks! ----- Other than that, pretty friendly staff, good buffet food, all beer is corona on tap though served in little milk style plastic cups. Do some research or you might be disappointed.

Just got back from 5 nights at Crown Paradise hotel (2/23-2/28). After reading many negative results I was a little hesitant about what was going to happen. Well, I am glad to say that all went well. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food was great. Great choices, especially at lunch. We tried Wayne’s Boots (twice) and La Piazza. The first 2 nights we could not get reservations, but the Buffet was good. I refuse to fight over beach chairs and found 2 great pools. The adult’s only pool where you still can get a chair after 9 a.m. and the semi-indoor pool next to the Kid’s Camp. My son, 8, liked the Camp. The entertainment at night was great.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel May 17-24th of last year. We enjoyed it so much that we are currently booking a return trip with another couple. The food (especially at La Piazza) was absolutely wonderful. Everyone at the Crown Paradise was very helpful. The pool entertainment staff was hysterical and made sure we were always getting involved and having a good time! I suggest this hotel to anyone!

My girlfriend and me stayed at the Crown Paradise Cancun and we think it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in the staff were friendly and there was always something going on what ever your age. I would go back tomorrow if work allowed it.

They lost our reservations at the Crown Paradise and we had to wait an hour before we had a room. The TV was broken for 1/2 of our stay and you only get a few channels in English. The adult pool literally overlooks the disgusting sewage facility and we were mauled by what I would guess were sewer bugs to the point we had to leave. The entire hotel smells like sewage. Couldn't get seats at the main pool unless we were there by at least 7:30 am. Getting dinner reservations for 3 of our 4-night stay was miraculous and we only enjoyed the food from 1 of them (50's Club). I think the chicken from the buffet is goat or something other than chicken. We could have had chairs on the beach but the backs were broken off. Everything tasted like bad Margaritas since the drinks are served in plastic cups that have completely absorbed that particular drink, so no matter what you get, it tastes like a bad Margarita mix. Ugh.

Crown Paradise is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Total luxury, very attentive staff, from the maids to the bar tenders, everyone was so friendly. Really looking forward to going back on my honeymoon this September, Wayne’s boots here I come, hope the hotel has stocked up on extra corona.

We stayed at the Crown Paradise and had a great time! The adult only pool was a great time! We love the bartenders at the swim up bar. They were very friendly and enjoyed entertaining us. We loved Wayne's Boots and thought the food was good. We are from the Midwest where steak is the best! Drawbacks for us were trying to get reservations for restaurants, the smell from the sewer treatment plant and all the little kids. It’s a family oriented resort, so that was OUR fault if we didn't like that part.

My husband and I along with our 21-month-old twins had a great time; everything was perfect at the Crown Paradise. My only complaint is the kids club [18 mos-3yrs] you must leave at the club with the sitter. You were not allowed to stay with your kids. They had a baby pool that my twins would of loved but again you had to leave them. Besides that everything from the service to the food was excellent. I was just there the week before Thanksgiving of 2004.

I just returned with my family from the Crown Paradise Club Cancun, and had a fantastic vacation there! My kids had a great time, and loved the kids club (Emily was my daughter's favorite), and they also enjoyed the main pool area. They had a lot of freedom to choose their activities, since it is a very safe and friendly environment, with plenty to do. The entertainment staff is non-stop, offering activities from morning till night. The food at the resort was amazing, offering a huge variety, 24 hours a day. There was so much to choose from, we actually didn't try it all (and we were there for 2 weeks!) We did a lot of day tours (Xel Ha, Xcaret, Isla Mujeres, Interactive Aquarium, Captain Hook Dinner Cruise), and all were great, but we did talk to a lot of people who never left the resort, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I think Mexico has so much to offer, that you ought to see this beautiful country, and interact with the people, but to each his own. I recommend the Crown Paradise to everyone - a good attitude is everything -- and remember...you will be treated well, if you treat them well (these people work there, they are not your slaves - that is the impression I get from some who leave negative reviews.) Try it, you won't be sorry!

My wife and I and my 7 yr old son had a great time at Crown Paradise Club Cancun. Their kids program is second to none: swimming in their own pool area, a mixture of crafts and games, etc. He didn't want to leave the hotel, and we were able to go shopping and eating out as much as we liked. The all-inclusive program is great when you are at the hotel. We were gone a lot and didn't take advantage of it as much as we could have. Transportation to the hotel zone is fairly easy as it is all along the boulevard.

Well I wish I could give a review of the Crown Paradise Club Cancun but I can't because I was called two days before I suppose to go to this hotel and told I have two options... GO to another hotel or full refund. I spent time researching my stay and picked this hotel because of the kids club as I was bringing my 11 year old son. I was paid in full two months ahead of time and booked three months ahead. We were told they were over booked by 100 rooms. How is this possible? I don't understand how they can treat people like this. This was suppose to be our first time in Cancun and when I checked the availability of the hotel they wanted to put us in it said "NO AVAILABILITY". I have an email into this hotel but of course no one has answered me because they are probably trying to accommodate over booked people. I am still numb and my son is heartbroken. As far as I am concerned this hotel is heartless and I haven't even been there. Be careful if you book this hotel, it can turn into a ruined vacation, probably because they are so greedy and overbook thinking people will cancel. They ruined our dream vacation!

My friend and I stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun from May 17th - May 24th and we had the best time. We have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. We loved the staff especially the entertainment staff (Sergio and Christian were our favorites). Jorge from Olympus Tours was very helpful and we were able to book great excursions through him. Don't go on the bar leaping tour, it is nothing but a waste of your time and money. You are better off staying at your lobby bar for the night. Jose was great at our lobby bar. The only minor thing we weren't impressed with was our room location. It was a beautiful view, but we were so far away from everything. All in all, I can't wait to go back to the Crown Paradise!

Stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun for the third time in as many years. I highly recommend it for anybody who wants to have a great vacation in Cancun. Don't forget to get your hurricane drink at the bar, for those that have been there you already know. The food was great; the pools were crowded and packed. The service was outstanding. Those people that give this hotel bad reviews are most likely the same people that didn't need to stay there to begin with. Our trip is booked again in August and my wonderful wife and I are going to introduce our children to a taste of paradise. We fell in love there, and are excited to go back. Watch out for men who should not be wearing speedo's. As if any man should. Cervesa's were the best.

What a great time, we had a blast, can't wait to come back again and meet the staff again. Thanks for all the great food, entertainment, and best of all the great MARGARITA'S. We recommend the Crown Paradise Club Cancun to anyone who is going to Cancun, Mexico. Hope to see you again soon. Thanks again

Crown Paradise Club Cancun was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the view was great. After a week there the bartenders knew exactly what I wanted before I reached the bar. Now I'm no Norm Peterson from Cheers, but, it was a vacation! One evening I asked my long time girlfriend to marry me. Sunset, a few drinks, family around, it was perfect. I just told her not to wear the ring in the ocean! The rest of the trip was great. We'll it's 7 years later and I’m now divorced (she strayed), and I'm ready to come back and do it all over again with my new gal. In a different spot of course.

I stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun as a junior in high school some ten years ago. And, I again had the pleasure of staying there on last year. The atmosphere was wonderful the service was great. We had no problems with the food everything was wonderful. We are again planning your trip for this year 2004 and we will again be staying at the Crown Paradise Cancun.

I have stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun for the past 10 years many times and it cant be beat. The staff is efficient, extremely nice and the hotel is clean, food id good. The staff is well trained and try to please everyone. If only we had people that work that hard in the States. The staff does their job with always a smile on their faces. I have never had a bad meal in any of the hotel restaurants. For those of you that think the food is bad how many places can you eat at home and have the same good service for free. I have recommended Crown Paradise to many and they have all been happy with their stay, Miquel, Carlos, and Cesar are wonderful. The piano bar is super great.
Rose Schur, rslsw1@sbcglobal.net, 2004-01-21
Crown Paradise Club Cancun is terrible! It was paradise lost. The staff was rude, especially the chief. He is loud and obnoxious. Emily at the kids club made my daughter cry, I mean I was beyond shocked. Also, the bold guy, I think his name is Rodrigo, tried to hit on my 17 year old niece. I was very disappointed to say the least, who do these people think they are! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun was great, staff friendly, night life swish, something for any one and every one. Coming back in 2004 already booked.

The Crown Paradise Club Cancun hotel has great diversity… 5 pools, various bars, 5 restaurants. Facilities were clean and the staff was extremely attentive. Only drawback, main pool was too loud with unwanted activities.

My husband and I went with four other couples 10/22/03 - 10/29/03 and had a wonderful time at Crown Paradise Club Cancun. The three outdoor pools are nice and the view is great. Jose, the bartender at the adult only pool, really made our time there a blast!! I thought the resort was nice and very clean and thought the food overall was great. The only downfall was the occasional odor from the sewer plant across the street. I would stay at this resort again. I thought it had a lot to offer for the price!

Waynes Boots at Crown Paradise Club Cancun was a big disappointment. We had to make reservations so we did at 8:00 and got there around 7:40 even though there were only about 4 tables seated they would not seat us until 8:00 and then the food was horrible.
Cory Duer, e-mail withheld, 2003-03-19
During our first Cancun trip we stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun. We found the Restarants, Bars, Pools, Beach and especially our Club floor room exceptionally nice. The only disappointment was the food at "Waynes Boots" steak house, but perhaps our standards our high being from the midwest.
