We are 3 college students and this hotel really wasn't even fit for us. I never saw any reviews of the food when I checked this site so here is one for you. It reminded me of kinder garden cafeteria food where a mystery meat is served and you really do not know what it is. I could not tell you what was on that buffet....They also only had watermelon for fruit....that is the only fruit that they had....I expected a lot better. There are also only like maybe 8 items total on the buffet so there is no selection. We bought the all inclusive and ended up eating out somewhere else like every day. The property is also run down and not nice at all....The beach out by Dos Playas is rocky...There is also nothing to do at this hotel or anywhere near it...Before going I read reviews not thinking that it would be too bad, but now I really wish I had spent extra money and stayed elsewhere.

Do not go to Dos Playas Cancun. 1. It is very noisy. The neighbor is the Disco Fat Tuesday. Sometimes they play till 4 o'clock in the morning. They blast the bass sounds directly into your rooms if you are in Block A. 2. It is dangerous. It is possible to rent wave runners a few meters from Dos Playas. There is no sea police watching the runners. They drive directly to the beach. I you have bad luck one drives over you while you are snorkeling or diving a little bit. 3. There were several uncontent people we saw only on one day waiting for our room. One pair of Americans we spoke to claimed that there room was very dirty. This may happen although I am sure it is not the rule. The problem of the other pair I do not know. We refused to take the first room they offered us because it was dark, narrow and noisy. I laid at the main street which goes through the hotel area of Cancun. It is very expensive for what you get. You risk to get very angry. I would not go there again.

Having done a lot of traveling, I have found Dos Playas Cancun to be an extremely good deal! The food was good but could have been better. The staff was excellent & our room was great. I would highly recommend it. Greatest fault was lack of entertainment, otherwise it was fine! Juan, on the front desk was very helpful & the staff was extremely friendly!! Go for it!

We went to Dos Playas hotel for spring break and had a great time. It’s more for college and university kids as opposed to families and older people. There’s not much to do during the day besides drink and hang out on the beach, but their entertainment staff took us to the best clubs every night. If you get a bad room, complain. They have amazing marble floor rooms in the first building. Very satisfying stay.

Hotel Dos Playas is an older hotel with a great staff, the best lower priced hotel on the beach.
