Just came back from El Dorado Seaside hotel. Overall we really enjoyed it and believe that someday soon it will be close to the level of El Dorado Royale (on a smaller scale) which we've stayed at several times. Just wanted to give anyone staying here a warning about the "Travel Club" (another name for the time share program) that you will be approached about. I know most people are weary of joining a time share but I must warn you that my husband and I actually attended a discussion about the club and were told several things that are false. We were concerned about the fact that we were told we had to make our decision while in Mexico and this set off red flags for us. Upon arriving home I researched www.mexicolaw.com and found out that there is a 5 day cancellation period when you sign up for time shares that CANNOT be waved (unless you sign up for the program on the premises), which explains why they push you to sign. Like most people, my husband and I would never think to enter into a contract (much less in a FOREIGN country) without doing more research. I was concerned about the ownership of the hotels in the "travel club" and was told that Karisma (an American Company) OWNS them. After getting back to the US, I called Karisma and was told they were the OPERATOR of the hotel but did not own the hotels or have any affiliation with the Travel Club. This is an important point to note because I was told that if I was ever dissatisfied with the club that I could sue Karisma in the US. Of course, once reading the contract I noticed that Karisma was never mentioned in the contract and the contract was to be bound by the laws of MEXICO. In addition, the contract makes no mention of what recourse members have in the case that the club becomes bankrupt. I'm not bashing the hotel but want to warn anyone about this TRAVEL club so that you don’t end up in a situation that you cant get out of. Good Luck.

We just returned from El Dorado Seaside hotel. It was gorgeous. The staff is phenomenal! Thank you to Andres, Arturo, Pablo and everyone. The food is great. We will definitely be returning. Don't forget the sunscreen!

We go to El Dorado Seaside in January each year with a group of friends. We always have an exceptional time, and have made friends of many of the staff (especially the animation crew). The price can't be beat, especially for the amount of fun we have. Looking forward to next year's!

Stayed at the El Dorado Seaside Suites from January 7 -21. My husband and I had an amazing time! The staff was great, food awesome, beautiful room, I could go on and on… Just remember to bring your water shoes & keep in mind that it's Mexico - there's bound to be the odd little mishap, but really, who cares? Just relax and go with it! You’ll have a blast! I recommend this resort & will definitely return!

It took awhile for them to have our room ready and when they took us to the room there was a sewer smell in the room. The staff was great, great drinks. Had an awesome time at El Dorado Seaside Suites, will return but probably to another hotel.

My husband and I went in Nov 2000 and we still talk about the great time we had at El Dorado Seaside Spa. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, the entertainment at the disco was tons of fun, and the food was excellent. The day trips were also convenient and staff there were very accommodating. We recommend it highly!

A relaxed atmosphere with a fine staff of friendly people. We return for 30 days each year to the El Dorado Seaside.

Loved everything about the El Dorado Seaside Resort. Food, pools, bars, service, and rooms. Shower had so much pressure you had to lean into it. Couldnt have had a better time!! Loved the "Dirty Monkey!"

Rooms are a bit dreary and the plumbing & air conditioning not very reliable at the El Dorado Seaside. When calling on the problems the staff was quick to respond. Problems with the phone system made it impossible to call home. Food was mediocre. The common spaces were very nice and the "Entertainment Staff" were great fun!

I had a great time at the El Dorado Seaside - not a luxury place - but comfortable, pleasant, quiet, relaxing. Great service. Well worth the money. Perfect for budget-conscious, like me!
