Esmeralda K also has a gourmet restaurant which is also suspended in mid air and gives the illusion of being on a boat. The restaurant specializes in international food and also has a variety of seafood from the region.

Other services offered are: land and marine excursions to the biosphere, reefs and underground water caves, fishing trips, diving and snorkeling and a tour of the Mayan observatories and canals of Sian-Ka-an. All of these services are provided by a specialized group of professionals.

WARNING - Do not stay here - 1) DOUBLE BOOKED ROOMS - it’s required to pre-pay for the rooms at this hotel. We paid premium rate $170/night for a room only to arrive and find the hotel was fully booked. 2) PAYING EXTRA FOR OCEAN FRONT VIEW IS A SCAM - don't bother paying the extra money for an ocean view - while the promise of an ocean view room is enticing, this is a ploy to charge higher rates. All the cabanas sit on the beach and -- face -- the ocean. Even though your view can be 100% obstructed, since it -- faces the ocean -- , it is still considered an -- ocean view -- room. 3) TRUST TRIP-ADVISOR REVIEWS - I read these reviews prior to securing the room at this hotel; the website looked so amazing I was duped. 4) RESTAURANT OVERPRICED - given the quality of food and service the prices should be half menu prices. 5) OTHER HOTEL OPTIONS - overall there are plenty of other hotel options in Tulum, unless you are desperate my strong recommendation is to stay somewhere else.
