I stayed at hotel Girasol in May of this year, it was a good season, the hotel is in the center of the best of Cancun, at few steps of mails, stores and with one of the most beautiful beaches, its my best option if I visit Cancun again.

I've stayed in better, I've stayed in worse. But I wasn't there for a fancy place to sleep- I was there to enjoy myself. Girasol hotel is so close to everything it is insane- the beach, restaurants, shopping, clubs- whatever you are there to do, it is right there- no need to take the bus anywhere (which is good if you have a heart condition- those of you who have been on it should be able to agree with me there!). The staff was always polite. My only issue was with the elevators- they were a little scary! (And a bit slow).

I stayed at Girasol in 1990. It's pretty basic compared to the 'fancy' hotels down the strip, but that's why I liked it. Very clean & comfortable, friendly staff, great location and wonderful beach. Would love to go back.

A very nice place to vacation, near Cancun’s main tourist attractions, good attention, good prices. I have stayed several times at Girasol Cancun and will keep doing it whenever I go to that paradise in the Atlantic coast of Mexico.

I stayed at this hotel 13 years ago with two other family members. The rooms are very basic but for the most part clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We had a good time and after all we didn't go to Cancun for the nice hotel rooms. We just wanted a place to sleep at night. If the vacation was about the hotel room I could have saved the airfare and gone to a hotel in our own city. If you want a decent place to sleep (save the cash for the things you went to Mexico to do instead of blowing it all on a room to sleep in) this place works well. It's within walking distance to everything; it won't cost you a bundle so you can spend the money having fun. I would go back to the Girasol Cancun any time.
