Just returned from an 8 day trip to Cancun for the first time. I did not like the resort at all. For all the money I paid, it could have been better. The rooms smelled very must, bed linens very dirty, no refrigerator in the rooms. Room service was a joke. The beach was beautiful, but not enough chairs. No umbrellas at the pool. The pool is only 4 feet deep and the only way in out of the pool is a little metal ladder. No swim up bar either. You have to get your own drinks and they are in plastic cups. The food was ok. This was my first time in Cancun and would not recommend this resort. I will not stay here ever again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Can't say enough great things about hotel Golden Crown Paradise. Stayed for the first time in 10/05. Went to the Caribbean this spring and was disappointed, everyplace pales in comparison to this hotel (even club med). Came straight home and booked a trip to the Golden Crown this fall. The staff made our vacation, fun, friendly and truly gracious. The staff was eager to please no request no matter how big or small was refused, you want it, just ask! The beach was exquisite (and not rocky, see pictures in gallery) water sports available beachfront. The food was fantastic and the menu in the buffet and Shangrila changed daily. Thank you to Carlos, Jon, Lauren, Selene, Tiki-Carlos & Jose...we can wait to visit you again!

Our first trip to Cancun was at the Golden Crown and we intend every trip to be at this hotel! We were held up by Wilma in Oct of 05 and our trip was canceled. What a disappointment! But we will be there in Feb or Mar of 06. Can't wait to get there, the staff is the best!! Once we're there we didn't want to go home! So we will see you soon!!

We have been to Cancun about 12 times and have stayed in different hotels, but have stayed in the Golden Crown 5 times, will be 6 in Feb 06. This is the best by far for food entertainment and hospitality. The staff is great, very hard working, the Mayan people are wonderful. Only thing I would improve on is if they would put a mini bar in each room would be great. Can’t wait to go back. Was supposed to go in October but hurricane Wilma put and end to our Mexico vacation. Can’t wait to see all the staff and enjoy the most beautiful beach in Mexico. Every time was better then the last. Keep up the good work.

My Husband and I stayed there for 5 days in Dec. of 2003. We had a ball, the service was excellent the entertainment was ok, a disco could have made it better, the food was good, the beach was gorgeous. I will be back soon and I intend to stay at the Golden Crown,(Carlos )was hilarious.

We spent a wonderful week at the Golden Crown Paradise. About every other day the maid decorated our bed with fresh flowers and beautifully folded linens (in artsy designs.) The food was delicious with plenty of choices. The staff was very friendly and there was something going on all day. The day we were supposed to leave we were evacuated to a shelter to sit out Wilma. That was when I was VERY impressed with the work ethic of the staff. They locked down with us for the 52 hours of the storm and then came to work every day and night AT THE SHELTER to take care of us until every guest found a way home. We wish them nothing but the best as they rebuild the hotel. The most effective way we can repay them for their kindness is to return to this hotel. See you there!

The rooms smell musty at Club Paradise. Everywhere needs redecorating. This is not a 5 or even 4 star hotel. You cannot get away from the very loud music played at all of the pools all day long. No umbrellas at any of the pools. No sun beds or umbrellas on the beach. No boats on the beach to use. We were not surprised as they would get smashed trying to get them over the very sharp rocks that line the beachfront. We went in September and the surf was too strong to swim in. The staff couldn't do enough for you but always expected a tip. I must admit the food was of a very high standard. Would choose another hotel when going to Cancun again.

Just got back last week from Golden Crown Paradise and all I can say is that you won't be disappointed. The staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble (even if you don't tip them) the hotel is spotless & Clean. Food is to die for most the buffet food is cooked fresh when you have chosen from the list. The beach and sea is heaven revisited. Evening entertainment is okay finishes about 11pm and then they play music in the beer garden but a disco would have been nice. Just lie back and enjoy being waitered on even on the beach. We will be back without a doubt.

Golden Crown Paradise Spa, wow, where to begin.. I would have to say that I had the time of my life there. When I left the hotel to go to Isla Mujeres I couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. Wonderful food, great beach and pool, awesome drinks, but the staff tops it all off. Katie and Lauren, Gustavo and Jonathan, and of course Carlos, my beloved Entertainment staff. They made my trip worth while, and I’m glad to say I still email and talk to them on the phone! Cancun is a beautiful place, full of nice and hardworking people, even if they aren't being paid a ton of money to do so. Great place, my favorite place, EVER! I’m still talking about it and I got back almost 2 months ago! Can't wait to return.

This was my second visit to Golden Crown Paradise. I will say that last year was better all around. There were 8 of us and we did have a good time working around some obstacles. One thing was the rooms were not as cool this year. We reported it but the rooms never were comfortably cool. The food this year did not seem as good as last year. The food in Shangri-La was wonderful. Now, the staff was great. Carlos on the entertainment staff did all he could do to help with a problem we had one night with a tour we had booked. No need to get into this because we did not book through the hotel. At the Tiki Bar, Hosea and Carlos were GREAT! If you go there, ask one of them for a "Smoochie Loochie" and tell them Tennessee told you so. Overall all was good!! We love it in Cancun.

OMG. The 3 or 4 negative comments on this page simply don't stand up to the 25 positive ones. Long story short, this is an ALL-INCLUSIVE hotel. All the alcohol (beer, wine, mixed-drinks) you can imagine. Be sure though to TIP the staff. Maybe that’s why the people who left negative comments didn't like this place. The pool is simply 10 steps away from the beach. The beach is groomed every morning...and the staff here works hard to make sure everything is clean, neat and tidy. I have stayed in many hotels in the US....and the Golden Crown Paradise is hands down the ultimate resort (all-inclusive/adults-only) hotel that I would choose. If you want fluffy beds, then stay in the US. Mexico and other countries don't have the same tastes that some of Americans have. Have fun, Have a drink and get naked (if you want).

Highly recommended. The staff at Golden Crown Paridise was excellent especially the entertainment staff - Bravo Carlos! The food was good and the beach was superb. We were there during Hurricane Emily, the staff did an exceptional job keeping the 300 guests safe, fed and entertained. They set up beds using the pool and beach lounges in their entertainment center, which acted as a shelter. Everyone was given a blanket and pillow. There were refreshments and they also served two hot meals. We were entertained with the staff and they showed movies etc. We were in the shelter for almost 16 hours. Can't say enough about how well we were treated. Compliments to the management and the entire staff for volunteering to stay with the guests to ensure our safety and comfort. I would not spend the extra money for the clubroom, which has a Jacuzzi tub but no balcony. Take the deluxe room instead and spent the money you saved on a snorkeling trip or scuba dive. Enjoy!

I have recently come back for a 2 week holiday at the Golden Crown. I can honestly say that it was the best holiday I have ever been on (and I have been on a few). The staff we so friendly and the entertainment staff made me laugh all holiday. I would definitely return here. The rooms were lovely, the food was fantastic. I could not have asked for anything better.

This was by far the best vacation of my life. I spent my senior year spring break at the hotel Golden Crown Paradise and I don't think I could've made a better choice. The rooms were great, although too cold and the thermostat didn't seem to change the temperature, but the food was great, and the people were even better. Kati, Lauryn, Carlos, Alfredo, and Jonathan (the entertainment staff) absolutely made my week. They're some of the greatest people I've ever met. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a good time in Cancun!

Hotel Golden Crown Paradise was great. Five star is a stretch but we really enjoyed ourselves March 2005 from Oregon. We walked down the beach and found this hotel has the best beach by far. The hotel is very clean, lots of meal selections. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate all the food and drank the tap water at the hotel and it was fine. In fact, my biggest tip is: drink tons of water. Most people who get sick don't get sick from a bacteria but from dehydration which can have the same symptoms. It's hotter there, people aren't used to the climate, they lay out in the sun all day drinking alcohol. Which is fine, but balance it with lots of water. The beds are surprisingly hard, but we didn't mind. If you like a softer bed ask for a foam pad. Beautiful lobby, beautiful pool, free food and drinks 24/7, the bar on the beach is absolutely charming -- swings for barstools, how cool is that?!

What a Paradise it was, I have NEVER had a nicer vacation. The staff is wonderful. Especially the entertainment staff including Katie and ESPECIALLY my man Carlos. They are so much fun and keep you laughing all the time. The buffet at breakfast and lunch was excellent and quite a variety of foods. The rooms at the Golden Crown Paradise were very nice and the pool and beach is fantastic. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Visited the Golden Crown Paradise in 2003 and can't wait to go back May 11. We loved our service and the staff so much that we are going back there to get married! The food and service at the steakhouse was so good that we ate there every night almost. The Tiki bar was fun and bartenders are the best in the world.

A great resort. The staff is great. The food is really good. You have 24 hr room service. Beautiful beachfront. The waitresses go around the pool and even the beach to ask you for drinks. No kids running around. When you arrive they give you a hot towel and a drink after your long journey. I highly recommend the Golden Crown Cancun. One thing though we would have liked to have a mini bar in our room. I have been to Cancun 5 times and never stayed at the same hotel. We would definitely go back.

Our annual return trip to Golden Crown Paradise Cancun was all that we hoped for. We met our friends Bonnie, Bill and Marianne, Ted and Jan and their family and we had a fantastic time. Your staff is simply the BEST. Luis, Silverio, Perfecto, Carlos (how is his cat?) and Alphonso made our stay heavenly, and the staff at your new restaurant made our dining a pleasure. I have traveled the world, I visit the Islands twice a year, and I have yet to find a place that makes you feel as welcome as the Golden Crown Paradise Cancun. The staff accommodates all your needs; Alfonso at the Tiki Bar is possibly the best bartender I have ever met. I enjoyed the facility so much that I extended my stay two times. The food is not 5 Star, but it is not bad either. I was never uncomfortable during my visit, I will return and I hope Alfonso, Alfredo, Carlitos, Sergio, Jenny, and Lisa are still there. 5 Stars for hospitality alone.

Although we had been to Cancun many times, we had never stayed at an all-inclusive/all adult property. Now that we have been to the Golden Crown Paradise Club, we know what a mistake that was! The pros: perfect beach, (unavailable at other properties) good to excellent food, no watered down drinks, great to impeccable service, beautifully kept grounds and hotel, extra friendly and helpful staff, lovely "club rooms" with large balconies and Jacuzzis, activities geared to a mature clientele, room service available 24 hrs. The cons: hard mattresses, no comfortable chaises either by the pool or on the beach, no beach drink service. My rating: *****

Golden Crown Paradise Club is not a 5 star hotel by any means, maybe a 3!... I ate at the same restaurant nightly because the other one had a weird menu (ex. Cornish hen, medallions of beef, rice, etc.) The other restaurant had Steak. The only problem was the menu, it was the same every night, down to the dessert! Boring!... The pool was small! ...The lunch buffet was small! I think I woke up the girl making burgers down by the pool... yes one bar down by the pool and no swim up bar in the pool? I guess because the pool was so small you could not fit it! Get this, I am in Mexico and they did not serve Cuervo Gold Tequila at the pool bar? So what was good? The people I met were great! The ratio of girls to guys was great and the pool bartender Alphonso was the best!

We stayed 2 weeks at Golden Crown and we loved it. The Caribbean Sea is crystal clear, food is excellent, the rooms are clean and well decorated. The employees are courteous and pleasing. In conclusion we recommend this hotel.

...This place probably does not have the most comfortable bed in the world, the most rooms out of all the hotels, or the biggest televisions in its rooms. But let me say this: This ADULTS ONLY hotel has a staff that will treat you like royalty... If you are wanting to go on vacation or a honeymoon without the kids, Golden Crown Paradise Cancun is the place for you!!!... The food is wonderful and give you 3 different locations within the hotel to eat... Being all inclusive, you are able to eat and drink (alcohol and non alcohol) at any time of the day! ..You are right on the beach and I think because this hotel is a bit smaller than some of the other ones on the strip, this allows for the staff to really cater to their guests. Dont take my word, try it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed!

This was my 4th trip to Cancun and the Golden Crown Paradise was the best yet. The food was wonderful and the people were very pleasant and they work very hard to please you... We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back to this resort. It is great resort and the best thing about it is there are no kids... Not that they arent great, but not on vacation.

Golden Crown Paradise is for adults only, all-inclusive, nothing beats this. Staff and food great. We were treated like royalty. The Ritz next door is very spiffy, but margaritas are $15-$18.

If you dont mind drinking cocktails out of 6 oz reusable plastic cups, sleeping on a hard bed, bad linens, bad food, and poor service, the Golden Crown Paradise is a great place. After one day and realizing what you spent per night I guarantee you will look at the hotels on both sides, the Ritz Carlton and Le Meridien, and wish you were staying there.
