I stayed at this hotel, and it's the worst ever! It was a dirty, ugly and disgusting room. I didn't want to sleep in that disgusting bed, and take a shower in that rotten, moldy bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! There is a better hotel next to it (2 minute walk) called Gran Caribe Real (the old Continental Plaza hotel) They are renovating all the rooms, the new rooms were better than in the Marriott JW Hotel. I think that if you want to stay in a medium priced hotel in Cancun, you should stay at Gran Caribe Real, and not at the overpriced Hyatt Regency.

I loved the Hyatt Regency Cancun. It was the perfect get away for my wife and I and plan to return as soon as possible. If your looking for a mega resort with a huge crowd, this isn't the place. But if your looking for a intimate Hotel that's comfortable, and well kept, and in a perfect location that's easy walking distance to most of the clubs and restaurants, then this place is for you. Get the ocean view, the view is fantastic. The Hotel is surrounded by rocky bluff, but there are sandy beaches next door that takes only seconds to walk too.

Hyatt Regency Cancun was great; I loved it, except the fact that the lock on our door broke a couple times. The beach isn’t really that great, but its only a walk over to the Krystal's beach. We stayed on the first floor and couldn’t be happier. We would stumble in around 4in the morning and got no guff from the staff.

Hyatt Regency Cancun is a dump. I was fooled by the four star rating it was given by Hotwire. We just got back from a four day stay. Our 11th floor room was drowned out by a large fan on the first floor, a hard bet, raggedy blanket, wooden hangers that did not work, sour food on the Regency Club level and this beachfront property has no where on the beach to walk...you are shuttled to another Hyatt in Cancun to get on the beach. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
