Iberostar Quetzal is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Lovely food, staff, weather, and accommodation. An interactive holiday.

My husband and I stayed at the Iberostar Quetzal Playacar from 9th to 23rd May. We loved everything about the hotel resort and the people who work there. We saw the monkeys on the trees and on the roof of the building opposite our room most evenings about 6.20 (we were in block 24 facing the Riu). The pool was lovely and warm and we always managed to get a sun bed The 'Star friends' work extremely hard providing entertainment both during the day and evening, although we only managed to see the shows twice during our two week stay as we were tired after swimming, sunshine and trips out. The staff deserve a special mention as they worked their socks off all day/evening long - always with a smile. The wildlife is great and we played spot the animal/bird whilst wandering to and from the room or pool. The food was good although sometimes repetitive in the main buffet. We ate at the steak house, Mexican and tropical restaurants = food was ok, the buffet starter was good but we were a little bit disappointed with the choice of main course. Don't let that put you off though!! We walked on the beach a couple of times but didn't sunbathe on it as there was a breeze and we didn't want to burn without realizing! You can get beach umbrellas from the towel area to take on the beach with you, and there always seemed lots of sun beds available. There is a bird 'park' just outside Playa del Carmen - make sure you go in. The toucans and parrots come right near you and there were lots to see. We had a great time here and would go back - the only thing we didn't like was the 10 and a half hour flight from the UK!

My husband, 7 year old boy and I just loved the Iberostar Quetzal. We stayed for 1 week and just loved the property, and the wide variety of food selection. This is our 5th trip. We stayed at the Cancun Palace, the Moon Palace and the last 2 years at the Allegro Playacar. This year the Iberostar beat them all. I highly recommend this place for everyone.

We just returned from our honeymoon at Iberostar Queztal in Playacar and cannot wait to go back. In fact we liked it so much we will be heading to Crete and staying at the Iberostar there. This resort is like no other. The food, the service, everything was fantastic!

We have been to Cancun, Cozumel, Cabo, and to Playa del Carmen. The Iberostar Quetzal was by far the best resort we have been to yet, you will love it. Stop looking now, and just go!

Iberostar Quetzal is absolutely Superb!! My Mother and I enjoyed the wildlife and breathtaking beaches immensely. The mouth watering food also added to a thoroughly enjoyable holidaying experience in Mexico.

Iberostar Quetzal is amazing... There are many restaurants to choose from. The pool is free form in design and HUGE! The daily lunch buffet was absolutely out of this world and did I say HUGE!

It was a most pleasurable all inclusive, tropical resort vacation at Iberostar Quetzal Playacar. Loved the jungle environment. The animals, birds, lizards, monkeys all around. Food was terrific, especially lobster night!!

Iberostar Quetzal is an excellent hotel - food was as fantastic as the service - the surrounding wild life areas are an added adventure. I would definitely go back there!
