I stayed at Imperial Laguna and came back with a nice gift! Scabies! I kid you not! I’m a nurse! I was sick two 1/2 weeks with this. Please consider staying elsewhere!

I liked the hotel Imperial Laguna, basic but good value for money. Onsite facilties good. The first room they gave us was dirty, but they changed it. Staff were realy helpfull.

I read someone’s comments on here, and feel sorry for them. They must have maid service at home or have never traveled. When you are in another country, you look at the surroundings, and adjust. I have enjoyed the Imperial Laguna every time I have been to Cancun. It isn’t the prettiest or maybe the cleanest, but it is like a home. If you want to stay in a place like your home, stay there then, don't travel.

Imperial Laguna was the worst hotel I have every stayed in, I was booked for 7 nights and lasted 1. This hotel is filthy; the beds were disgusting blood on the sheets and mattress protector. This is advertised as having a kitchen that’s a joke. I would not keep a dog in the room we were allocated. On arrival we had to go to the supermarket and purchase cleaning materials. Take a look at our pictures to see how dirty this place was it’s a pity that these don’t come with smell-o-vision as then you would be aware of the full affect of this hotel. I would advise anyone thinking of going here to have a re-think as it’s not worth it, this hotel would ruin your holiday.

For a thrifty travelers the Imperial Laguna is a great place to stay! Clean with a small kitchenette, the rooms were a decent place to spend what little time you do spend in your room on vacation. The maid service was great even did our dishes. ----- Other reviews complained that it was too far off the main road, but it was the equivalent of 3 blocks down a quiet residential street walk to the bus stop. Others also complained about the ants, which we did notice after we left food out - they disappeared after that. ---- I thought it was in a great quiet location with a nice lagoon view. ---You are at the top of the island close to all the good beaches, restaurants and the city of Cancun so it is a short bus ride or walk to anywhere, easy and safe to park when we did rent a car. Even if you don't stay here find it for the restaurant (which is in but separate from the hotel) very good gourmet food $$. You will have found a gem that not many tourists find. This hotel is down the road from bus stop 69 on the hotel zone's main road. -----The only thing I might recommend is bringing or buying pillows because they were very hard. Also make sure they put you in a room with a balcony and not the street view. ----- After we requested they had no problem changing our room. For the price we did not have much to complain about after we switched rooms.
