Formerly Qualton Riviera Maya and Playa Coco Xcalacoco, the Hotel Kai-kaana is located along the Riviera Maya approximately 10 minutes north of Playa del Carmen and 30 minutes south of Cancun’s international airport. The hotel is situated directly upon an unspoiled coco-palmed shoreline with tiny tranquil coves perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Kai-kaana offers 30 guestrooms which are distributed in five buildings housing six rooms and feature either a pool, garden or ocean view. A hidden gem! We loved the Kai Kaana. The service and staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very clean and inviting. We had a room on the 5th floor, with an awesome view of both the ocean and the pool. The beach is the best we saw in our 7 days in the area. Many days only a handful people would be at the beach or the pool! A peaceful, beautiful place to spend a week! We rented a car, which was helpful. Our stay was in Feb. 2005.

This place was the best place we have ever stood in. Peaceful, relaxing, everything you can imagine when you want to get away for it all. Kai-Kaana has a really friendly staff, a beautiful view and a cute little monkey named Nikko he's a blast. And the hamburgers are incredible made by the chef Carlos. You'll enjoy. We went in May 2004.

The hotel Kai-Kaana is a lot of paradise. We spent 3 weeks there and feel blessed for having had the experience. It is located 8 miles north of Playa del Carmen.
