Just a few steps from beautiful stretches of white sandy beaches and round the corner from the famous Quinta Avenida with its myriad of cafés, restaurants and colorful Mexican handicraft shops, this hotel offers beautiful rooms and junior suites.

Rooms are situated in two buildings surrounding beautiful tropical gardens with lush vegetation and flowers and overlooking two pools. Enjoy a drink by the pool bar or while playing billiard in a beautifully elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

Room service, bicycle, moped and car rental, massage, archeological and eco- tours, snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, kayaks, sky diving and so much more are available through the front desk.

45 rooms, almost all of them face one of our two pools, has a balcony and a minibar. All rooms have air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, ceiling fan and safe deposit box.

We stayed at La Tortuga in May, 2005. Luxurious, charming and well-appointed, our visit was most enjoyable. The pool surrounds a small island with lush landscaping. The bar is on a lovely shaded terrace next to a small restaurant where we had a fabulous breakfast each morning. The location is superb, one block off Quinta Avenida and next to Calle Corazon. The fabulous Spa Itza connects La Tortuga to Mosquito Blue.
