Formerly Hotel Sierra Cancun, was recently acquired by Palace Resorts. It closed on August 29 for a total reformation. Palace Resorts is proud to announce the launch of its new luxury hotel brand, Le Blanc Cancun, a new upscale all-inclusive adults-only property that will debut in Cancun in the winter 2005.

It is not just a hotel; it's a destination, centered on the color white. All its interiors including walls, ceilings, and furniture are in white with a contemporary and minimalist decoration touched with primitive, tropical, and Mexican elements that create an exceptional exotic ambiance.

It is the answer to the demand of the growing upscale market in Cancun. It will attract the sophisticated traveler seeking a luxurious, all-inclusive alternative that will revitalize their vacation experience and exceed their expectations.

It is located in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone, within walking distance to Cancun's exciting nightlife and attractions. The resort's renovations include the transformation of all guest rooms into suites with Jacuzzis, a state-of-the-art spa, meeting facilities, and three specialty restaurants. The renovations will be directed by Elias & Elias Arquitectos, one of the most celebrated architect and interior design firms in Mexico, known for the exquisite design of Hotel Grand Velas Puerto Vallarta, Casa Club de Golf Cabo del Sol, and Hotel Sheraton Los Cabos, among others.

Special features include a private lake, which is connected to Cancun's ancient Mayan Nichupte Lagoon. I thought the Sierra Cancun was great! The staff was so helpful and nice! The food is okay...but I mean its all inclusive what do you expect? The hotel was at a great location if you wanted to go on the beach you totally could and they have white lounge chairs for you. If you do want to stay at the pool you have to play tequila volleyball. Also very close to the clubs about a 5-10mins walk. It was pretty nice for a 4star hotel. I would definitely go back again.

Sierra Cancun was OK. Food could have been better and warmer. Beach was nice. Overall I give it a 7 1/2....cool place to go if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Still a little upset about the food that wasn't that good....but oh well you get what you pay for.

Have been to Sierra Cancun twice, the 2nd time was our honeymoon. Cannot fault service, staff, hospitality, etc. We had the best time both times but were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite for our honeymoon. Thanks to everyone at sierra.
