Luna Blue (formerly Hotel Zanzibar) is a 18-room hotel located 35 miles south of Cancun in the town of Playa del Carmen, the heart of Mexico's Caribbean coast. This once small fishing village has been transformed into an international destination with a magical aura that will leave an unforgettable impression on your soul.

Whether your idea of a splendid vacation is swinging gently in a hammock, exploring the mysteries of the world's second largest coral reef, drinking margaritas on the beach, or climbing a centuries old pyramid in the jungle, this hotel is the perfect starting point for your adventures and the perfect place to relax at the end of the day.

Accomodations:
* Standard: Four cozy ground-floor rooms, each with air conditioning. Two with a queen size bed, and two with a double bed and a single bed.
* Superior: Seven uniquely designed rooms with multiple windows offering views of the tropical garden. Each room has a queen size bed, refrigerator, purified water, air conditioning and outdoor sitting area.
* Kitchen Studio: Five spacious air conditioned mini-suites with a full kitchen (including dishware, cooking utensils and dining area), refrigerator, purified water, and outdoor sitting area. One with queen sized bed and four with one double bed, one single bed and one single trundle bed.
* Treetop Terrace: Two top floor rooms, each with its own private treetop level deck. Each has a queen size bed, refrigerator, air conditioning, and purified water.

Hotel Luna Blue offers daily maid service. Each room features an outdoor balcony or terrace overlooking the garden, an in-room safe, a private bathroom, and a ceiling fan. Most rooms have refrigerators. All guests receive free use of Mamitas Beach Club. Beach towels are available for use at the front desk for a small deposit.

My wife and I recently stayed at Luna Blue, a little boutique hotel. It was everything we wanted and more. Quiet and clean. We had a balcony room overlooking a beautiful tropical garden with a refrigerator and drinking water in our room. The owners were very helpful with suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try. And they gave us free passes to Mamitas Beach Club every day of our stay. We will return!
