I stayed at the Margaritas Cancun for a couple of days. Excellent choice for people traveling alone, very clean, quiet, good services and good price (if reserved through the internet). You have good restaurants a few minutes away or you can take the bus to the beach zone, which is about 20 minutes away (and costs only a few pesos). Don't spend a lot on hotels! Spend on food, activities, visits... learn about the country and the people, not about a 5 star hotel room!!! Have a nice vacation, Ciaaaaaaaoooooo

The beds were hard as rocks and the pool was under construction when we were there (June 21, 2005). It is in a ghetto neighborhood far away from the beach and nightclubs. My friend and I slept on top of the covers in the clothes we were wearing until the next day when we went to our nicer hotel in the hotel zone. I would NOT recommend hotel Margaritas to ANYBODY!

I would never recommend the Margaritas Cancun to anyone I know. The worst part of our stay was the terrible service. They overcharged us for the telephone service and lied to us and were not willing to assist us in any way.

Stayed at the Margaritas Cancun a couple of times, rooms were nice. Also liked the location downtown. Close to a lot of good restaurants, bars and shopping areas. Good place to hang out after a day at the beach.

We go to Cancun every March. Margaritas Cancun was our hotel choice. The choice of several price sensitive students blindly embarking on our first trip to Cancun. The price is right but the location is terrible. There is nothing wrong with this hotel except its location. The hotel was nice and the pizza was good but it was so far away from all the action we came so far to see. The daytime action at the Oasis and the nighttime action at the corner of the strip where all of the clubs are focused around the mall, is a 20 minute bus ride from the hotel. I would never stay in a hotel that was downtown.

A very amiable place; we liked the Margaritas Cancun, because it was quite perfect, but not perfectly perfect! Friendly staff, fine meals, not among too many holidaymakers; for a foreigner at least a bit original of Mexican style: Thank you!

The lighting in the room was poor at Margaritas Cancun. No hot water unless you got someone from maintenance to fix it. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Staff was hospitable. No wash clothes in the bathroom.

Margaritas Cancun is a very nice place in the heart of the downtown district. Friendly staff and a very nice restaurant. Definitely a great place to stay.
