Hotel Mawimbi is a small tropical style hotel located from a walking distance from downtown Holbox, on the beautiful eastern beach.

Holbox Island is located at the eastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and is the only Island in the Caribbean that has more than 40 km of unspoiled beaches. The sea here has countless shades of blue, playful dolphins, gigantic fish and... very pink flamingos.

In Mawimbi there is a Diving Center that offers trips for a maximum of 4 divers. Trips are exclusively for certified and experienced divers, as diving conditions can be hazardous, e.g. distance from the coast (25 to 50 miles), ocean conditions, encounters with large and dangerous sea creatures and sometimes cold currents and limited visibility.
