The luxurious Gran Melia Cancun, a contemporary hotel with Mayan temple-style architecture, is located right on one of the largest and most beautiful white sandy beaches of Cancún, vis-a-vis of the Nichupte lagoon. On the other side of the street you'll find the largest Marina of the area, offering a wide variety of water sports. The modern Shopping Mall "La Isla" is just 3 km away. 17 minutes to the north of the center of Cancún, the hotel is a perfect gateway to Mayan culture. Well communicated with the airport of Cancún (18 km).

Accommodations: Distributed on 9 floors, the hotel offers a total of 794 rooms with private terrace and magnificent views over the Caribbean and the lagoon; 107 of the rooms are reserved for the time-sharing Vacation Club. The remaining 687 rooms include 64 Junior Suites, 1 Governor Suite and 1 Presidential Suite. Separate "Royal Service" floor for Executives offering special services such as express check-in, pillow menu, butler and many more.

2 rooms have been specially adapted for handicapped people (limited wheelchair access in some parts of the hotel). All of the rooms have a private bathroom with hair-dryer, air-conditioning, satellite TV with remote access, direct dial telephone, Internet access, radio/alarm-clock, mini-bar, safety deposit box, ironing board and terrace. 24 hours room service.

All inclusive services: Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet or a la carte, theme buffet dinner at Quetzal restaurant. Please make your reservation in advance for Prosciutto and Cascada Restaurants. Enjoy your favorite domestic or international drink in all the hotel bars.

I just returned from a 2-week stay in Cancun. The Gran Melia has been my hotel of choice for the past three years. Centrally located, it is truly a grand hotel in every way. Everything was perfect, from the accommodations to the service. One could hardly expect a nicer place to vacation in beautiful Cancun!

My husband and I stayed here. The place is gorgeous, the food is great, very clean and the people were wonderful very helpful. One night we went to go into our safe around 6pm and we couldn’t get into it we call down stairs and the manager came up with one of his people. They both tried it nothing they gave some vouchers to get food. We I instead we went to get McDonalds that night; we used the tickets the next day for breakfast. That morning after breakfast we went back to our room and the manager and 2 workers came up, one had a drilled the safe. They got it open 15 minutes later; they had a new safe with them. They put it in and we put our stuff back in it. They said the battery died, and then they gave another voucher for dinner that night. We travel a lot and it was one of the best places we stayed at.

I thought that the hotel was fantastic! Great pools, great lobby and service. They had amusing shows at night in the lobby and it was always filled with this sweet tropical scent. P.S. There were no ants or roaches-the cheap rooms might have just had them.
