Mimi del Mar offered a quiet, clean and well equipped rooms. The landscaping and pool area was very clean and well taken care of. House keeping was very thorough, prompt and quick. The front office was very accommodating and welcoming. All-in-all the experience rating very high on our scale. We visit Playa del Carmen two or sometimes three times a year. We have stayed at the resorts, villas and downtown beach front properties, Mimi del Mar is right up there with the best!

Very clean & quiet. Friendly staff. Right on the beach. Can't beat the views! Staff responded quickly to requests. Small restaurant attached with very good food. Free continental breakfast was included, which we weren't expecting. Could use the breakfast vouchers towards a full breakfast. Ask for Jose at the restaurant or beach, he was great! Only comment would be, if you want a king size bed, upgrade to the superior room, standards only had queen. Also, standards are at the back. Still a great view to beach, but back up to an empty lot and storage areas for their building supplies.

We had a wonderful stay at Mimi Del Mar in Playa Del Carmen. The hotel is right on the beautiful beach and the staff were great especially Ned...There is a outside bar right next door that is owed by Captain Dave were you will have a great time....

The Mimi Del Mar was a wonderful little hotel. If my husband and I ever went back to Playa Del Carmen we would definitely stay there again. It was clean and the rooms were so cute -- ours was lovely! All of the staff was so accommodating and friendly. We don't know why anyone would want to stay in one of those huge impersonal resorts. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Stayed at Mimi del Mar March 2004 for a week and loved it! Right on the beach, clean rooms with kitchen great little pool with shower and bathroom. Great service from adjoining bar for drinks and snacks. Handy to everything. Very friendly helpful staff.
