We stayed on the Nizuc side in May of '06...5 minutes after getting our room my wife and I said, "we are coming back here next year". This is the most amazing place we've ever been...total paradise and a lover's dream. Everything was perfect and we've already booked for this year. I daydream about this place all the time, and it's adding years to my life. Go there, you'll see.

We went to Moon Palace in January 2006 and it was amazing. Even with the hurricane we got amazing rooms and service. We loved it so much we booked our wedding for February 2007.

A beautiful place to get married or honeymoon. Peaceful beaches or lively poolside entertainment. Something for everyone in this paradise, plenty of different restaurants to choose from. Not really somewhere for large families more of a romantic getaway with a loved one. You'd love it! Yes you!

My husband and I visited the Moon Palace first in September 2003 and then again in August 2005, when we actually got married, taking 11 family and friends with us. The hotel, amenities, restaurants, weather, swimming pools, wedding was just amazing, and exactly like what you see in all the pictures and brochures. I have written a 35 page report on my experiences at the hotel, which includes what happens on your wedding day, hotel guide, recommended trips etc. You can purchase this report for a very small admin fee on Ebay - seach under 'Moon Palace Report'. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

Stayed at the Moon Palace in May 2005 for Honey Moon. It was perfect! Things to know: 1. Moon Palace has two Lobby's 2 hotels in one area. The Nizuc side is quieter and more adult, shuttle will take you both 5 minutes apart. Familys best book on the other side. 2. There are like 7 in Cancun, free bus rides take you between all. They are worth it, we spent the day at Beach Palace - ate their inclusive lunch and used their towels. 4. Moon Palace has the biggest pool and golf course - bring the clubs or you may be heart sick when you see it. Once in a lifetime - you're on vacation - play. 5. The beach is a very skinney beach yes, water is not as clear blue as Hotel Zone, if that is your main thing, stay at Beach Palace. 6. Bring NICE clothes -men must have pants for some restaurants. Ladies – they dress up here at night. 7. Register for any tours the 1st or 2nd day there. 8. Safe, all gates guarded your name and room number taxi persons name and cab number 3 times on they way out.

We were married at the Moon Palace 7/23/05. 1st the bad, there was no beach!! Hurricane Emily destroyed it and it was closed until the day before we left we stayed 8dys. If you get stuck with the sombero tower beware, it’s the last tower and the furthest away from the lobby (not good when it rains) because you have to walk outside to get to things (they do have golf carts to transport you). The resort is also not in the hotel zone, but they free provide shuttles that run every 2hrs. Overall, the food, alcohol, entertainment, room service, staff, rooms and wedding were excellent. Any ?'s about the wedding email me.

We had a our wedding at the Moon Palace in July 2005. I was a DREAM wedding! Everything was perfect! We had 80 of our close friends and family attend. The staff did an AMAZING job on every detail. The hotel is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a vacation or a wedding to anyone!

The Moon Palace - Sunrise resort is absolutely fabulous! My husband's family and I were there in July 2004 and we are planning a second trip there with a group of friends in 2006. The service is incredible, the pool is perfect for vacationers who are looking to relax on vacation, and the spa services overlooking the beach are incredible. The restaurant food was good, and the swim-up bars were awesome. The beach isn't the best, but you can shuttle to the other Palace hotels and enjoy their beaches. We preferred to stay at the pool 5 out of the 7 days. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the hammocks add a very romantic touch.

This hotel was amazing! Don’t listen to the other comments that tell you it is terrible, this was the best trip I have ever been on. We stayed for two weeks and it was sooo much fun! The food was great, and the pools were amazing. The pool entertainers were the best! They were so funny, and kept you involved in everything! The only bad thing was the beach, but the hotel has shuttles that run all day long which takes you to any three of the other hotels where the beaches are nicer, and it’s free! But I would definitely suggest if you are going to Cancun, you should stay at the Moon Palace, you won’t regret it. Plus it is close to the airport so it only takes about 5 min. to get there (unlike the other hotels).

We were married at the Moon Palace and everything was fantastic. Our immediate family was in attendance and all had terrific time. We have been to three palaces and they were never a disappointment.

My family and I spent a week in Cancun and we had a wonderful vacation at the Moon Palace! Can't understand how people could hate this place. We were a little disappointed with the beach, as the water was not swimmable at all and the water wasn't even blue. But other than that, everything else was outstanding. The service was just impeccable. Everyone was so nice, polite, and eager to please. With 10 restaurants at this hotel alone, you'd better have 10 stomachs to fill up. The numerous pools were great for my two toddlers.

Stayed here in late January 2005. Not all that impressed. If you are physically disabled, beware. The Moon Palace has many levels & no elevators that I could see. Check-in was a nightmare. They kept telling us our room was not ready & to check back in 15 minutes. When we checked back, they said try back in 20 minutes, then 30 minutes (this was all after the "official check in time"). We finally told them to just give us a room because we were exhausted from our travel, so they did. It was in the farthest building on the property (next to the "jungle") on the top floor (no elevators). The room was fine & clean with a nice double whirlpool & balcony - peaceful. The walls must have been paper thin though, because you could hear everything outside. Food was alright; make sure to keep an eye on the restaurant's hours so you are not too early or too late. The pool was pretty & large with a lot of lounge chairs, but was freezing cold. It is a very secluded resort which is fine if you just want to stay there, but if you want to shop, go to clubs or just see all the sites of the hotel zone, it is a 20-30 minutes bus trip or ride with a maniacal cab driver. There is nothing really wrong with the place, but it just wasn't to my liking.

We had a great time at the Moon Palace! If I could I would go back in an instant. The service is excellent and the pool is amazing. The beach is not the greatest, but you can take shuttles to the other beach. The pool entertainers are the best. They are very fun and get you involved in everything. The food was amazing also. Don’t listen to the other reviews that say this hotel is bad, it is truly amazing and one of the best trips I have ever been on. I would highly recommend that you go.

My husband and I stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun in December 2004 for 7 nights. We had a great time, the room was lovely - ocean view, double Jacuzzi. Food was nice. There was so much to do - down town, clubbing, bars, shopping, trips, relaxing - you name it, Cancun has it! It was a lovely romantic break and I would definitely go back. Please don’t be put off with the negative comments.

We just came back from the Moon Palace. Its true the beach isn't even close to being as nice as the ones on the strip. The water isn't even as blue. I wouldn't say it’s horrible. Just if I hadn't stayed at other resorts and knew how beautiful it can be; I wouldn't have been disappointed. Partial view of the ocean is really partial...yeah, if you lean way over to the left of the balcony...you can see it. We had a great time once we got our rooms. They had overbooked and we had the misfortune of having to stay in the golf villas. While they were nice, they weren't finished. The cable wasn't hooked up to the TV yet; no patio furniture and the patio door wouldn't lock. The worst was when we flushed the toilet and it overflowed. It couldn't be fixed at that time so they moved us to another villa. The shower in the "new" room overflowed. The other thing was it was a 5 minute ride on a golf cart to get to the main building which had the restaurants, pool, beach and bars. Finally, the next day we got rooms in the main building. We pretty much threatened to lay down right there in the lobby. Positives were the food was great. The waiters, waitresses and bartenders were awesome and treated us extremely well. Petro makes the best drinks!

My family and me went to the Moon Palace Cancun resort for Christmas in 2004 and thought that it was a fantastic holiday and can’t wait to return in the future. The staff was very polite and enjoyable and the pools were fantastic; the bar was amazing as well, where you can swim up to the bar and have a drink in the pool. The beach is fantastic for all the family and jut right. We also went to swim with the dolphins and that was a fantastic day out, even the babies swam with them and we had a fantastic time and want to thank all the staff for making it a fantastic holiday.

Awesome hotel, great staff. The beach was not so great though. The kids loved the swim up bar and the pools, which are huge! I loved the Moon Palace and plan to go back again soon!

My husband and I took our 4 older teen-aged children to the Moon Palace Cancun 12-16-04 through 12-23-04. Everyone not only loved our accomodations, views and overall hotel experience, nobody wanted to leave. The kids were able to come and go as they pleased to the pool, beach or dine in many various restaurants. Everywhere they went, they said they were treated with kindness and friendliness they usually don't get in the USA. They had a blast, and it gave us time for a 2nd honeymoon. We never went hungry, thirsty or bored. I highly recommend this all-inclusive. My husband highly recommends the golf course nearby. My kids highly recommend the many wandering pools and we all had a blast, as I'm sure you will, too. Don't let others like Bill Davis' bad review scare you away. He probably works for the competition. Haaa.

My wife and I stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun for our second honeymoon and had a great time. We are going again in Feb. 2005, this time with the kids. We especially liked the free tours, something other Cancun resorts did not offer. The water directly in front of the hotel was not as nice as I had hoped for, but was great for sailing and the free use of sailboats was a super perk, again something few, if any, resorts had to offer. When we wanted to swim in the surf we just paid a visit to one of the other palace resort properties located nearby - using the resorts free transportation. Overall, we felt the service was comparable to staying onsite at a Disney property. People who don't like this place probably complain about every place they stay.

We stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun for our honeymoon and could not have been more disappointed. The beach is filled with kelp and debris, the food was not good and the servers are not accommodating. The smell of ammonia from the sewage processing plant permeates the air continuously. They do have a great golf course and a huge pool, but that is not enough to make up for the other negatives.

We stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun in late November and early December 04. Beware! If you are a golfer or a pool sitter who wants to tie on a feedbag at an all-inclusive place and never leave the resort, this may suit you. The rooms are nice. But, it is huge and very impersonal. The food is so-so and most of the restaurants carry the same items. The guest services staff was awful, and their main job is to refer you to time-share sales. If you have a legitimate concern, most of them could care less. Numerous mistakes by staff, a power outage to the whole resort and a beach that continually has copious seaweed (the water was not worthy of swimming) despite their efforts to clean it are what you will find here. Not what we had hoped for. We left almost as stressed as when we came. Based on our experience, and the reluctance of management to address our concerns, I would give it a very low rating.

We stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun for the first time 3 weeks ago, and we have to say that it was wonderful: food was great at all, especially breakfast at Bugambillas. The staff was exceptional, and the wines were terrific. I was especially fond of Calafia red. We want to go back tomorrow! It seems unreal that such a place exists. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give it a 9. Thanks Moon Palace for a great vacation!

Moon Palace Cancun is an absolutely GORGEOUS hotel - I stayed in the presidential suite and the service was outstanding, the accommodations were the nicest I have ever seen (marble EVERYWHERE), really clean, incredible pool, an all-around wonderful vacation. Only complaints - the meat wasnt so good, but the fruits and veggies (guacamole especially) made up for it, and the ocean wasnt so nice (but who needs it w/ that pool!)

The Moon Palace Cancun resort is the best! It is beautiful, relaxing and the people are wonderful. The food is good and there are many restaurants to choose from. My husband and I had a great time and plan to visit again. We give it a thumbs up!

The beach is not the same as on the main strip, but it is not "horrible." We went swimming almost every day and the hotel Moon Palace Cancun also has wind surfer boards (bring some good water gloves). The hotel is fabulous and our stay exceeded all of our expectations! You trade a nicer beach for a very peaceful, less crowded atmosphere. Maybe not great for singles, but perfect for honeymoons and couples. They even provide free bus transportation to the main strip where you can enjoy the nicer beach and hang out and eat (all inclusive) at the other 3 Palace resorts. If I went back to Cancun, I would stay at the Moon!
