Only 45 minutes on ferry from Playa del Carmen and the Tulum corridor. For marine life aficionados, the Palancar reef is only 5 minutes away by boat.

The hotel has 294 rooms (including 8 suites and 9 studios), distributed among 38 polynesian style bungalows with 8 rooms per cabin (30 connecting rooms).

I will definitely be returning to this hotel. I had a fabulous time there last summer and I am already planning another trip there for my senior trip with my friends. There is always an activity going on somewhere in the resort for those who have to always be active but us lazy people there are always enough beach chairs and margaritas to lounge around with! If you are planning a trip to Cozumel I recommend the Allegro Resort.

We will be returning to the Allegro Cozumel after just 10 months. Obviously, we enjoyed it sufficiently to do it again...this time with granddaughter in tow. I liked the food, especially the variety, abundance and availability. I agree with the previous suggestion that the "entertainers" seem more interested in entertaining young girls, but who cares? I found the key to happiness was to sign up for, and participate in EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, almost our entire visit was hampered by lingering effects (rain/clouds) of a recent hurricane, but who cares? I made sandcastles in the rain... If you want the action and excitement Cancun is famous for, this is not the place for you. They do schedule a trip to Cancun for a night of partying, but if you come here, it is because you want manageable peace, sun, sand and surf. Incidentally, it would be wise to inspect your room upon arrival no matter where you go, never make any calls from a hotel phone (anywhere) and occasional sobriety has been known to cure lapses in memory.
