Ojo de Agua is a small 36-room beachfront hotel situated directly on the beautiful Caribbean beach of Puerto Morelos, a quaint fisherman’s village located on the Mayan Riviera between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

Along the pristine shoreline, you will find the second longest reef in the world, which offers an incredible underwater world for snorkeling and scuba diving fans. Downtown you will find several small restaurants, souvenir shops, car rental, money exchange as well as a travel agency. Visitors to Puerto Morelos will find the town to be a very quaint and quiet village but the nightlife of Cancun and Playa del Carmen is just a short distance away for those seeking a bit more excitement.

All of the hotel’s guestrooms are furnished with the warm and joyful colors reflecting the lively culture of the Mexican Caribbean. The hotel features three different room categories which feature king size or double beds, private bath with hot and cold shower, telephone and balcony. Studios are perfect for small families with a double bed, a single bed and a couch plus kitchenette.

Ojo de Agua us very quiet and peaceful, family owned and operated hotel. Rooms with a/c-tv-ocean view a very good value. Not for the activity-driven-high maintenance needs of the all-inclusive set at all. This is ideal for someone who wants a simple breakfast, packs a cooler and a book for the beach all day and goes to town for a nice dinner, retiring early to watch the moon rise from the balcony or a movie on satellite. VERY relaxing and uncomplicated. Enjoy it while you can...these peaceful places don't remain secret for long.

Cozy, delightful, reasonable clean and fun non-touristy hotel, within 15 min of Cancun airport. We have a small inn ourselves 5 hours from Cancun and our guests do their convenient -overnights- here at Ojo de Agua. (Ojo means -eye- and there are -round holes- in the water in this area which are like vent holes from underground caverns or tunnels running through the limestone shelf which is the Yucatan Peninsula).
