The Park Royal Cancun was great, all of us enjoyed very much. Would go back tomorrow if we could. Mario and Luis were the best bartenders they were up by the adult pool where we spent most of our time. Activities need a little work and they need more food choices on the buffet, but we really enjoyed our selves. Plus if you take kids you want to stay down by the kid pool, because there was a lot of ladies that tanned in the nude.

Best vacation I ever had at Park Royal Cancun. Hotel and beach were beautiful. Service was great. Food was good. I can't believe people complaining about tipping. The help gets 48 pesos per day ($5 for 12 hrs.) and their all inclusive gratuities amount to $8-$12 per pay which is twice a month. I'll go back and I WILL tip.

I cannot believe some of the negative comments about Park Royal Cancun. I've stayed there about 15 times in the last 8 years and never got sick and never had money stolen from me. Every room has a safety box. The bartenders NEVER asked for a tip.

Worst vacation ever! These people are nothing but rude, inconsiderate and greedy human beings. I paid $1000 to come to Cancun and enjoy the all inclusive features of this hotel in which I couldn’t. My money was stolen by a maid and not only that I told the front office and they said it wasn’t their problem and I couldn’t sleep because of the constant hammering next door. I asked the front office to try to get them to stop and I received no response. The bartenders wouldn’t serve me because I wouldn’t tip them over $10. All tips were supposed to be included. This was a waste of time and money. Don’t do the same.

We had a great time at the Park Royal Piramides. The food was nice but needs a like bit of adjustment. Great staff no problems.

Four days ago we returned from staying at the Park Royal Cancun. We loved it there. We have 3 young children, and they all thought it was a great vacation. The beach was beautiful, and the service was wonderful. My husband and I thought that the food was fine. The children could always find something that they liked to eat. It helped to have hamburgers and hotdogs served in the middle of the day by the pool. We did inquire about guests visiting and were informed of the $70 rule. We had guests stop by one day just to meet us in order to go to a nearby restaurant. They were stopped and questioned. This does seem like an odd rule, but we still enjoyed our vacation thoroughly. We hope to return.

Me, my friend and our mothers went to Cancun for our senior year spring break trip this year. It was wonderful. I think the Park Royal Piramides is beautiful (from the outside) once you get to the inside its a little different than you expected. Teal colored walls with purple trimming? Its festive but doesn’t fit the hotel at all. I love the location of the hotel its right in the center of all the other hotel zones. La Isla is directly across the street and Flamingo Plaza is a 5-10min walk. It’s about a 10 min drive to all the bars and clubs but it’s worth it. I did however get sick of the food! Its different and its not easy to cook, but I got sick of picking at all the sushi type stuff out of my salads. The fruit was always fresh and delicious but other than I didn’t care much for the food. The staff was ok, they get nerve racking but they are OK. I’m going back next year but I’m staying in a different hotel.

Park Royal Cancun was indeed a beautiful place, however, the staff was rude and abrasive. You cannot bring any guests to the hotel to lay on the beach or just talk in your room without paying for them. I meet some very nice people at one of the clubs on the strip and wanted to bring them back to my room to hang out for an hour or so. The staff said that I would have to pay an extra $70 per person for them to be allowed into my room. The next day, I invited them to the beach at the hotel, we were there for 20 minutes before security came and said that they had to leave or pay $30 for a day pass. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, in all my travels I have never encountered such a restriction. They even had the nerve to say that this was a common practice all over Mexico, not true. In my 7 trips to Mexico I have never heard such a thing. The staff was extremely rude about it and even went so far to threaten to kick us out of the hotel, with no refund! I was absolutely appalled at this. Until this incident I thought the hotel was one of the best hotels in Cancun. The hotel is not even on the strip like they say; it is a 5-10 minute bus ride from the actual clubs. I cannot express is words how upset I am at the treatment this hotel directed towards my friends and me.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. We were there Jan 16 2005. The food was different and great every night we were there, one week. It is unbelievably clean, everyone that works there seem to be happy to be there. I think that says good things about the employers. We have every intention of going back every year. It is located on the strip where all the shopping can be done on foot or for a small fee of 65 cents. The beach is spotless, lots of chairs, towels, hot water, good water. My dream is to take our grandchildren some day because the hotel is an excellent place for young children too. We are in our early 50s and like to party. We had seen kids in there 30s 40s having a ball! It is perfect, any age. I really can’t say enough about how impressed we were. Park Royal - you will see us again next year.

Having vacationed at a number of different properties in this part of the world, I can say that the Park Royal is average at best. My wife had to be hospitalized for parasites in her intestinal tract after eating all meals on site for 3 days. At least the hospital in Cancun served her better food than the hotel. Although the facility is clean and the staff friendly, her sickness (most likely caused by unclean food preparation) and the appalling attitude of the hotel manager (Sr. Da Silva, who declined to help me pay for my out of pocket expenses for my wife's hospital stay... remember that she had only eaten at the hotel for the prior 3 days) causes me to advise you to look elsewhere.

We just got back from Cancun. What a great place the Park Royal Piramides Cancun is. I think the --all-inclusive-- was a fairly good deal. Personnel is super friendly and efficient. Food was great in both the general dining hall and the Italian Restaurant on the grounds. They should include the GYM facility in the “inclusive-- and not nickel and dime you to death. We had problems getting picked up from the Airport and were forced to ultimately hire our own cab (they'll try to rip you off).

Loved everything about it! The staff, beach, food, pools, and anything else you can think of was absolutely wonderful at Park Royal Piramides Cancun!

The policy of all-inclusive package and the way it is administered at Park Royal Piramides Cancun, left a residual feeling that we paid for more than we received. They did provide what was offered and promoted, but just barely. The food was bad, the entertainment juvenile, the extras overpriced.

I had a great time at the Park Royal Piramides Cancun. The room was great with a new kitchenette. The buffet at dinner was affordable and they went out of their way on the 4th of July to put on an --American Celebration.-- They actually roasted turkeys and made a cranberry dish! When my mother didnt seem to be enjoying her fish one night the manager rushed over and insisted that she have an alternate meal, even when she tried to not complain. They could tell she was unhappy and wouldnt let that stand. The weather was great and I just booked a return trip for this year!
