The Park Royal Cancun (formerly Piramides Cancun) is a beautiful four-star beachfront property featuring a total of 282 rooms and suites divided into two pyramid-shaped towers each containing six floors. The hotel enjoys a superb location near the main shopping malls and nightly entertainment and is located directly across the street from the new "La Isla" shopping center. It is situated on an excellent strip of beach and offers great facilities and attentive service. Plus it is the only hotel in Cancun that has its own Mayan Temple which is more than 500 years old on the premises.

All of the hotel's standard guestrooms feature individually controlled air conditioning, color cable TV, private bath and telephone. The hotel also features Ambassador Suites with standard room amenities plus separate dining and living area and three double beds that sleep up to six people. Selected suites have two bathrooms (one with tub and shower the other with shower only), private terraces and Jacuzzi.

The hotel features one restaurant, two snack bars, a lobby bar, two freshwater swimming pools plus a separate children's pool, travel agency, car rental, a fitness room complete with sauna, marina and a 24-hour convenience store which guarantees the best prices in the hotel zone. It also offers excellent facilities and services which are typical of five-star hotels but at four-star prices! It is the perfect spot for families, small groups and single travelers.

The Park Royal Cancun was great, all of us enjoyed very much. Would go back tomorrow if we could. Mario and Luis were the best bartenders they were up by the adult pool where we spent most of our time. Activities need a little work and they need more food choices on the buffet, but we really enjoyed our selves. Plus if you take kids you want to stay down by the kid pool, because there was a lot of ladies that tanned in the nude.

Best vacation I ever had at Park Royal Cancun. Hotel and beach were beautiful. Service was great. Food was good. I can't believe people complaining about tipping. The help gets 48 pesos per day ($5 for 12 hrs.) and their all inclusive gratuities amount to $8-$12 per pay which is twice a month. I'll go back and I WILL tip.

I cannot believe some of the negative comments about Park Royal Cancun. I've stayed there about 15 times in the last 8 years and never got sick and never had money stolen from me. Every room has a safety box. The bartenders NEVER asked for a tip.
