Posada del Mar is located directly across the street from a beautiful white beach; the turquoise water of the Bay Mujeres. Just four blocks from both the main pier and downtown.

This is a traditional island hotel, offering all amenities to make it your home away from home. You will enjoy a relaxing family atmosphere and the personal attention of our staff. There is a Colonial style aqueduct at the swimming pool, and when our guests are not exploring the island, this is often where they like to relax.

All kinds of water sports can be arranged at our Beach Club or at the front desk. Safe deposit boxes available, free of charge at the front desk.

The stay at Posada del Mar was great... We are planning to go back next year, for a longer stay....

Our stay at the Posada Del Mar started off not so great but ended well. When we arrived there was no water getting to the toilet. This was fixed quickly. Then we tried to take a shower and the shower filled with water because the drain was stopped up. After a short conversation with the manager, we were permitted to transfer to a different room where all the plumbing fixtures worked appropriately. (Water pressure was lacking but that was no big deal). Both our first and second rooms were spotless. The maid service excellent (including towels made into swans and placed carefully on our beds). The beds themselves were extremely firm, but this seems to be a common custom in Isla. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach. The "noise" from the street was minimal and did not interfere with our stay. I would recommend this hotel to people who expect simple, clean rooms and expect to be out about the town or on the beach for extended periods of time.

Posada del Mar was fine -- clean, large rooms, GREAT location close to everything, quiet, good Air Cond., friendly, I would go back again no problem. Comments I read on this site were very helpful and proved to be accurate.
