Que Onda is a magic little gem, a small family run hotel in a lush tropical garden setting. Located in North Akumal, only steps away from beautiful Yal Ku Lagoon, Que Onda is like a pleasant little secret waiting to be discovered. The European owners have made it apparent that personalized service and attention to detail are the norm here.

The restaurant is open daily and locally known for it's excellent Italian cuisine and homemade pasta. The swimming pool in the garden is the perfect place for a refreshing swim and perhaps a cool drink from the bar.

Each lovely room has a king or queen size bed and a futon. The furniture and artwork are all original and each room offers a distinct visual treat for the visitor. Definitely not your average hotel fare with great tile work and a very nice fusion of contemporary design sense with a relaxed, comfortable feeling. The second floor suite is very open and spacious with loft and very large terrace space, 3 beds and and a wonderful “palapa” style roof, setting the tone for your very chic jungle getaway.

The balconies provide stunning views of the garden with the Caribbean and Yal Ku Lagoon in the background. This is the only hotel in this part of Akumal and is certainly a fantastic value. Most everyone falls in love with this place.
