I loved this place, my whole family went! I went with 13 other people and we all had a great time!! I went on the 18th of December until the 24 of December in 2004. We had soo much fun we might go again but the best was the dance lesson and FRANCO and the kids section. We had so much fun having rentals on the beach. Me and my cousins all went and ordered 3 kayaks then when we were done 3 paddleboats!! It was the best trip EVER! Good job.

My husband, daughter, daughter's boyfriend and I went for 4 days 12/26/05, and was so pleased with Riu Caribe Cancun and all the EFFORT they were putting forward to having a CLASS hotel, in light of the Hurricane WILMA damage. Cancun was worse for wear, but RIU was hands down a great place to stay! My daughter's boyfriend had never been to Mexico, and had a great time and was in awe of the hotel and all of its amenities. The oceans water is chilly in December, but when the sun is out, you can certainly enjoy it and the pool as well. The food offerings were plentiful and tasty. The atmosphere was wonderful. We will return!

We stayed at the Riu Caribe late February 2006 till beginning of March. The hotel is beautiful, front desk staff not so nice, very busy, we had to wait for our hotel room an extra hour and a half. The food, they do give you a good variety to choose from, but the food wasn’t the best, it was OK. The ocean was cold, the beach is nice because no one bothers you to buy things and the pool was very nice. The bartenders really take care of you if you are nice to them. The bartenders inside the hotel are extremely nice; when you go ask for Juan, Jose, or Alfonso, they are the BEST and they can fix you the best SHOTS!!!!

We stayed at the Riu Caribe in mid January for 4 nights. Everything was great. Didn’t want to leave. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Make reservations to eat at the restaurants, buffets are good too. Staff is very helpful also, drinks & food all day long! Nightly entertainment...always something to do. Everything was very clean. Much damage from hurricane in the area. Many hotels & businesses are closed. If you are going for the Cancun nightlife, not a lot of bars/clubs open, but we never felt the need to leave the hotel at night. We had a great trip, will return to this hotel.

Our family stayed at the Riu Caribe Cancun in July and had a fantastic time! The food was good and there was a lot of variety to choose from. The bars were good and the swim-up bar was especially fun! The service in all areas of the hotel was good. We left a small tip in our room for the maid everyday and got great service. The room was immaculate and the fridge was stocked with beverages daily. This hotel was beautiful...very open and airy. They had nightly entertainment in the lobby and also an outdoor theatre with a nice variety of shows. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. The kids loved it too! The *only* complaint, is that it was so humid in July that the towels and sheets/pillows felt slightly damp even with the air conditioning on. Also, the humidity makes the tile flooring slick so be careful as it was not uncommon to see people slipping on the lobby floor. All in all, a great vacation and we plan to return!

A large group of us went to the Riu Caribe. We all had a great time. There was a lot to do. The hotel was clean. Here you can party or just hang low. Whatever works for you. The food is good but it not the Ritz Carlton. The beach excellent! The pool is great! It is really hot. Bring sun block 45 and higher. Don't worry, you will still get tan! Don't forget to reapply the block mid day. We saw a lot of pink people! Bring the bud spray. Some nights there are mosquitoes and some nights there are not. When they are out you are getting bit, a lot! We have been on a lot of resorts vacations and rate this a great trip. We took an excursion to Isla Mujeres (the island off of Cancun). Well anyway, not one of our best days. The boat ride over was fun and after that it went down hill. Some of us went snorkeling which everyone got sea sick even people who never got sick at all. The rest of us went to "the Resort" Thank god for the giant slide and our group's ability to make a good time of everything. We got by but don't waste your money. You might consider a night or two out on the town for dinner. It breaks up the routine of eating there every night. We did and it was great. We had a great vacation! Left for home right before Emily! Thank God! Have fun!

We had an excellent time at the Riu Caribe Cancun. We didn't want to come back. The hotel is excellent. We always had great service and good food during our stay. We ate at all of the restaurants but enjoyed Maria Margarita the best.

We checked in at 3 pm and got locked out of our room until 8:30 pm. Called the desk and went to the desk several times. The rooms lock needed batteries and it took over 4 hours to get them. Each day our room keys needed to be recoded. Get clear instructions on how to work the phones. Hotel seemed very clean but rooms were terribly musty. Staff was very friendly and but not very helpful with problems. They checked us out a day early-seems we spent a lot of time at the front desk trying to straighten things out. I wouldn't recommend the Riu Caribe Cancun.

The hotel Riu Caribe Cancun was outstanding! The staff was more than helpful, the food was delicious, the margaritas were a tad weak, but otherwise a great bar. Rooms were commodious and clean, as were the beach and other facilities. Sailing the Sunfish in the ocean could be tricky. You need to know what you are doing. All in all, a top notch resort.

We had two cameras stolen at the Riu Caribe Cancun... no help, no one cared. Did not get into our room until 7:30 that night and no one cared! Food is just ok. Drinks are weak. Place has a nice look to it but money will be better spent elsewhere.

January 20-27/05. Loved the Riu Caribe Cancun, rooms in the center floor 4,5,6,7 8,9, the best view. Food is good, if you can't find something to eat, you are too picky. The staff around the pool very fun and friendly, in our opinion the lobby bar the best entertainment we have ever had in any Cancun hotel and we have been going to Cancun since 1990. The only complaint is that on Wednesday night they had Karaoke night, which only lasted 1 hour. The room was full and every one was enjoying it, and to stop it was foolish, then everyone went back to there rooms, could have been a lot more fun.

Ten out of ten. My only complaint was the two hangovers a day, one at 6pm from drinking all day and one at 6am from drinking all night. Riu Caribe Cancun it’s the greatest place on earth to totally get away from it all.

My husband and I had a trip planned to the Bahamas and at the last minute I saw this hotel on the Internet, right away I changed our trip plans and headed to Cancun. We were pleased with every detail at the Riu Caribe Cancun, from the food to the service to the staff and to the other visitors. It was fun to meet so many wonderful people! Right when we got home we rebooked the same trip and leave on our anniversary Dec 14th 2004. If only we get so lucky to have the same staff there that made us feel so welcome. Thank you to all of them!

We really enjoyed the Riu Caribe Cancun and also recommend it - the rooms were clean, the food and drinks were good. The balcony on the Jr. Suite was well worth the extra $. There was always something (organized) going on at the pool area or beach so if you wanted to participate you could or just go to another area of the pool. The lobby is not air-conditioned - so evening events and the bar in the lobby can get quite warm.

We had an awesome time at Riu Caribe Cancun... we are coming back soon... everything was really clean food was great... loved it.
Julie Gianarli, sjgiancarli@comcast.net, 2004-07-21

We just got back from the Riu Caribe Cancun. Every night we were awakened by drunk kids screaming and singing in the lobby. We called to complain but they did not stop them. It went on until about 7:00 AM. So if you want a non-sleep vacation go to RIU CARIBE.

My husband and I got married at the Riu Caribe Cancun. They made every thing so easy and stress free! Anything we needed: food, drinks and excursions - all we had to do was ask. I cannot imagine staying at another hotel. We cannot wait to come back!

We stayed at the Riu Caribe Cancun in February. The food was great. The staff treated us unlike anything that you will find in the States. The room was fine; a tip to the maids was well worth it. The drinks may have been weak but who wants to be drunk for a week anyway? With the all-inclusive there was more than enough of everything. Side trips were worth the extra money. The local shops and street vendors left a little to be desired as to what we had expected. Over all great time, great place, and we hope to get back there some day. The only thing that we did not like was other Americans being total insulting idiots. It is no wonder that a lot of foreign countries do not like us. Please mind your manners when you go someplace. It's their Country and we would not like it if someone acted that way here.

Our stay at the Riu Caribe Cancun was the best. This year 2004 will be our 5th time out at the Riu and would not switch that hotel for anything in the world. The hotel was great, the entertainment team are fantastic, Eli, Victor, Carlos, Franco and Cesar, you know those crazy guys who make your vacation very memorable. They keep you busy from morning till night. The food is good. The shows are awesome and the room and view is spectacular. I recommend this hotel to all my friends. I will be returning soon. You will not be disappointed on your stay here.

We stayed in the Riu Caribe Cancun for 2 weeks during the March Break rush. Even during all the confusion of partying teens, the staff still managed to be extremely helpful, efficient and enthusiastic. A big thumbs up to the Sports and Recreation Team for making a good trip great.

Just got back from a great time at the Riu Caribe Cancun. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The room and staff was great. I will be back

I have stayed at Riu Caribe Cancun twice in less than a year. I have no complaints. The first time we had a problem with our basement room being flooded due to the storms, so they upgraded us to a junior suite. The food was good, the entertainment was fun, and the service was wonderful. You cannot beat the service you get for the money. My brother and I plan on going back again in May. I would not stay anywhere else.
Mi, delta0593@aol.com, 2004-03-16

We stayed at Riu Caribe Cancun on March 2 to the 9th 2004 and before we got there we up graded to a Jr. Suite. The room cost an extra $25.00 per person per night. We took it and it was just like everyone else’s room except our patio was a little bigger. The first night our lock was broken on the door; the second night we found that they stole some personal things out of our room. We tried to talk to the manager and every time the desk said “we will have him call you and come up and take a report”. Well, 5 days later still no response. They didn’t even care I would not stay at this place again. Once they have your money you are just another room filled to them. If you or anyone would like to hear the truth about this hotel just e-mail us. Two very unhappy people…

Stayed 7 nights at Riu Caribe Cancun, had to ask 6 days to get mini bar restocked. Want to sail ,all inclusive, not really ,no instruction unless you pay. Want a drink, all inclusive, you pay each & every time if you want service. 1 restaurant closed, the rest was all the same, so-so. Not really impressed.

We stayed at Riu Caribe Cancun by mistake, our reservation was for the Gran Caribe Real but when wee arrived they told us that our room was given to someone else and they where going to place us at the Gran Costa Real. I told them that the was not acceptable and ask for the manager, the manager then toll us that he was sorry for what had happen and to makeup for the mistake, we would get a suit at the Gran Costa Real and the all inclusive was part of the mistake for all the time that we were going to stay . I said OK lets go and see. My wife and I where a little inconvenient. But what they did for us was great. The next day they took our luggage and return us to the Gran Caribe Real. We where so happy with both hotels the food was great and the personal. In my book that is the way that a manager of a hotel should take care his gests. If we ever get a chance to go back to Cancun is going to be Gran Caribe Real or Gran Costa Real.

I went to Riu Caribe Cancun April of 2003. I went with my boyfriend...It was great!! I have nothing bad at all to say about his hotel. The room was nice, nice view, clean..The food was good, and there were a lot of different options ..You dont have to eat the same stuff everyday. The beach is great! The pool is huge and clean...The staff is great! They go out of there way to make you happy. The entertainment at night is great! Carlos & Charlies is right across the street. You have to go there. In the all-inclusive package you get free cover for Carlos&Charlies and Senior Frogs (which is downtown) They are both a lot of fun. Downtown is only about a 5-10 min bus ride...no big deal..They have an all night serve yourself bar, food for the all-inclusive guests...which is nice when you get in at 3am after partying all night and you are starving...you just help yourself to food, drinks...whatever you want. We met a lot of nice couples that were there for there 2nd or third time...I have been to Cancun a few times and this is the best hotel I have been to so far! I would recommend it to anyone!

This was my first time in Mexico and stayed at the Riu Caribe Cancun in which I also got married in the complex which was out of this world. My husband and I are hoping to go back to the same hotel in March as we couldnt fault it at all. The food was great and the staff were really nice and helpful. The rooms were fantastic with great views.

This was our fifth trip to Cancun and our first visit to the Riu Caribe Cancun. This resort was by far the best. The food was great, the activities team kept us entertained day and night, if you were participating or just watching while relaxing by the pool. Even the night trips to the clubs were great. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone...couples, families, singles... there is fun to be had by all.

...This was my third visit to Cancun in 2 years and the Riu Caribe Cancun hotel was by far the best I have ever stayed in!... Rooms were great with a wonderful view of the ocean. Room service for breakfast was the best I have ever had... Food was very fresh and plentiful ... The beach at this resort is the best I have even been to... There are no waves here and the water is so blue/green you cant believe it. The pool area is very crowded and quite noisy with loud music. If you dont get up early you dont get a good chair ... We are going back to this great hotel in April, maybe sooner. It is the best in Cancun!

My family and I are also going back to Riu Caribe Cancun for the second time. We absolutely loved it - one of the best hotels we have ever been to. The hotel was clean and my daughters fell in love with the sports & entertainment team. They are the best looking and most talented guys. They really make the days and nights enjoyable with activities such as tequila volleyball, bike riding, beach olympics, and shows at night. The guys and girls on the sports & entertainment team are like celebrities there. I definitely recommend this amazing hotel - to both families who may get bored just sitting at the beach all day with nothing to do (like my kids) or to peole like my husband and myself who love to just relax and sit at the pool or on the beach. I cant wait to go back!

Cant wait to go back to the Riu Caribe Cancun for our second visit. Everything was so nice and clean, the staff is wonderful.

We are going back to Cancun for our third time on February 22, 2003 and our second visit to the Riu Caribe Cancun. I have nothing bad to say about the Gran Caribe!!!! As for their staff, restaurants, pool, beach and rooms, it was all that we could ask for. We truly had a week of total enjoyment and relaxation. Our only hang up for the week was the airport. Hopefully this year the improvements being constructed at the airport will have helped the total confusion there.

My family have just come back, we went to Riu Caribe Cancun for Christmas and I got married there, my twin daughters loved it especially the sports and entertainment team!!! The staff were brill, I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will for sure be going back.

My family and I have just came back from Riu Caribe Cancun, a WONDERFUL hotel. We have two daughters aged 8 & 11 and we all had such a fantastic holiday! Everything about the hotel was great, food, drinks (which are definately not watered down!) and the cleaness of the place was just great. You will NEVER be bored here that for sure as the entertainment team keep you busy morning til night (thats if you want to) or like me just laze by the pool and be waited on hand and foot! You dont even need to leave you sunbed if you dont want to, as the waiters are brilliant!! If you young and single I would challenge you not to fall for one of the guys in the -sports and entertainment- team, they should all be models!! Dead jealous I took my husband and am happily married!! We loved it so much we want to go again next year if we can...and we have never said that about another holiday! Wonderful, brilliant, superb, sureal, thats just a few words I could use to describe the place...ENJOY!
