Great 2 weeks - so much to say about how brilliant Riu Palace Las Americas was but too little time. Only disappointment really was the front desk - staff not too friendly and very disorganized. Waiters, maids etc were very helpful and always had a smile for you. Would love to go back again but so many other places in the world to explore. Highly recommend.

Just came home from a wonderful vacation at Riu Palace Las Americas. Romantic and beautiful all the way around. I do not recommend the Tapas Restaurant or the Brazilian but the Japanese and Steakhouse were perfect and breakfast was wonderful. No complaint, staff was very helpful and attentive.

I had and opportunity to go to the Riu Palace Las Americas with my best friend and her family. We had so much fun. We made new friends, especially with the staff, hahaha. But the only bad thing was we got stuck in Hurricane Emily and had to evacuate our hotel. But other than that it was fabulous. We are planning to go back next summer.

My wife and I after 25 years returned to Cancun for our 50th wedding anniversary. Expecting so so treatment I was proven wrong. The moment we arrived at the airport we were treated well and the trip only improved. The hotel Riu Palace Las Americas was excellent and the hotel staff was very friendly the rooms were fine and clean as a whistle. More food and a huge selection for all, any drink you asked for was no trouble. We were only one block from the beginning of the shopping area. Did not need a car or even take a taxi unless you wanted to go on a long tour. Can't speak highly enough about this hotel. We will be going back.

The hotel Riu Palace Las Americas was great except for the front desk, it was a little disorganized: we put in for a wake up call and did not get it. Checking in at the front desk was slow and they had a problem keeping up with who was the next customer to be helped. The maid was so so. The bartenders, waiters and other staff were wonderful. I would still go back for the hotel itself, it was beautiful.

Last summer we took our family vacation at the Riu Palace Las Americas for two weeks, it was wonderful I totally agree about the wine but there is plenty else to drink and the staff is so accommodating. One of the receptionists, Maria, looked after our three boys when the baby sitter I had arranged failed to appear. We ended up hiring her to baby-sit for the rest of our stay. The restaurant staff was lovely, the rooms were immaculate. I have no fault with this hotel, however if you are taking small children there is no kid's club, there is a kid's club next door at the Riu Cancun (sister hotel) but I would not recommend it, our 7 year old was left behind during an activity, thankfully he was smart enough to find a security officer and was returned to us because of Maria (receptionist). The management from next-door hotel did not even contact us, and they had every opportunity to do so, as this happened in the first few day's of our stay. All in all a good vacation was had by us, but I will never leave my kids at a club ever again. No matter how good they tell you it is.

I just arrived home two weeks ago from the Riu Palace Las Americas and have been sad ever since. This hotel is amazing, beautiful and clean! The entertainment staff is so fun and the facilities are wonderful. The food was excellent however the wine was not very good. The beach was nice and the water was gorgeous and the pools were beautiful. This hotel was extravagant and I had an amazing time with my family. If you have the chance go here! I guarantee an amazing and memorable vacation!

This is one great place! Truly a palace. People are constantly cleaning. Everyone is very nice and the amenities are plentiful. The Japanese restaurant is the best! The Tapas restaurant is the worst. Breakfast is the best meal of the day at Riu. If you are a wine drinker, bring your own, because the wine is about one grade above box wine. Only beer available is Corona. Other than these two negatives, the Riu Palace Las Americas is awesome.

Stayed at Riu Palace Las Americas August 2004. Best hotel I have ever been to. Every one was really friendly and the entertainers were a right laugh. Recommend it to any one. The swim up bar is great to.

I had the best vacation at Riu Palace Las Americas. I went with my best friend for a "get away from our boyfriends" week. We were treated like royalty from the time we arrived until they brought us back to the airport. Alex (our concierge) told us about all the hot spots, and he was nice to look at every day as well. The staff works hard to spoil all their guests! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to return next summer.

Riu Palace Las Americas is the best hotel and best service my family and I have ever had. And we have been at very fine hotels, this one beats even the best in Las Vegas. Highly recommended!

Riu Palace Las Americas Cancun is the best I have ever stayed in and I have traveled around a few top hotels and not one beats this one. The food was top and the rooms were spot on people were great. I would advise this hotel to the queen its that good and I will go back there all the time. This is one hotel that even posh and becks will feel comfortable in. So go ahead and check it out.

I spent one week in February, in the Riu Palace Las Americas, an amazing luxurious resort. Meals, service, room, everything was wonderful, (believe me I'm used to travel). It's more than five stars.
