I have stayed at this hotel, along with friends. I found it to be very nice the staff is the best and always trying to please. I’m planning to stay again in 2008 for two weeks. I’ve stayed there six times, and enjoyed it every time! The best!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Royal Solaris in July 2006. We thought the hotel were very good. The food was more then I could even imagine. It was so good! And if you wanted to have room service it was free! Great! We didn’t liked our room so we asked if we could switch to another room. And what a room. We had a great room with a wonderful view! And the staff was always helpful. We loved our visit here!

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Solaris Cancun in early December 2006 and were very disappointed. The web site pictures of the resort are very misleading. The rooms are bare, smelly, and run down. They don't give you bottled water in your room so you have to buy it. The resort smells musty and dirty. The lobby in the Royal Tower is dark, messy and dirty. People smoke everywhere, even in the elevators! Do not stay here!

We just got back from a stay at this hotel in April 2006. The hotel is still only half open but we had exchange privileges with GR Solaris. The staff was great. We had asked for a balcony room & the clerk was able to accommodate us with a beautiful private oceanfront balcony. The food was really good. Lots of variety for breakfasts & dinners. Margaritas & Corona were good too! The beach was beautiful. I was very happy about that since I know the hurricane heavily damaged the Cancun area, but they did a great job bringing back the beach. We mostly used the pool at the GR Solaris since it was much larger & nicer than the small pool that was open at the Royal Solaris. All in all, we had a great time & I would recommend this hotel, especially once they reopen the other part of the hotel.

After two weeks in Cuba we wanted to try Mexico. We stayed at Royal Solaris in one week in January 2006. The Hotel was very nice and the staff was perfect, but we didn’t know that only half of the hotel was open. The smallest part, so the offers weren’t that good that we hoped for. The weather that week was bad so we had to stay inside for 2-3 days and that was BORING! The beach was bad, a lot of big rocks and big waves. I don't think the hotel deserve 5 stars at the moment, maybe when it's open full size. Now 34 stars. I don't think we will go to Cancun again because of all the American influence. I felt I was in USA, not Mexico. We got pancakes for breakfast!!!! But I really want to say that the Hotel and the staff was 100% perfect and top service. I will recommend this hotel, especially to families with small children.

We stayed at Royal Solaris in April of 2005. It was okay until my husband's wallet was stolen from the room. There was no forced entry. The hotel staff suddenly could not speak English. As we stood at the front lobby another couple also stated that their wallet and purse was missing from their room. Then another man can down and stated his property was also missing. The Mexican authorities were of no help. I will never return to this hotel. This was the worst vacation we have ever had. When we got home the nightmare began. Luckily Visa had the good sense to cancel the credit card. But not before someone had used $2000.00

This hotel was a beautiful experience for my family and I. This will be my second time staying at the Royal Solaris Cancun and my husband’s third time. We enjoyed the food at all the restaurants. The barbecue dinner at the poolside on one of the evenings was wonderful, all of the meats including great steaks were grilled for you right there. The entertainment everyday at the pool was absolutely funny. They kept us laughing all day long. We missed relaxing at the beach because we did not want to miss all the fun and crazy activities they had at the pool non-stop all day long. The staff was excellent. I have worked for the hotel industry for over 10 years and stayed at many hotels as well. This was one all inclusive that I was very pleased with. Every evening there was a show to attend that was a funny as the days. We are planning on our vacation this year and have decided the go back to Cancun. This hotel is definitely our first choice again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone including families traveling with other relatives, because it is lots of fun and you will have many memories to laugh and talk about for years to come.

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Solaris in May 2002. It was ok. Not great, but average. Food got dull halfway through the week.

Just stayed one week here. The Royal Solaris is in the southern part of Cancun (about 8 miles south of the rowdy, loud clubs and bars). This area of Cancun also has more surf than expected. The hotel opened in December of '04, so everything is brand new. Got a double room with a balcony facing the ocean on the 6th floor. The lagoon was visible from outside the room (opposite the ocean). All-inclusive service was better than expected with 24 hr room service, in room servi bar stocked up daily, several good quality restaurants that included lobster and steak. The shows at night were NOT your typical waiter or pool entertainer trying to double up, but professional dancers and singers...much nicer than other all-inclusives I have been to. Service in general was better than expected. Valet parking was always available and bar tenders and waiters were ready to help. Adding a small tip for the services provided meant that by the third day the staff new you and were eager to serve. ----- On the down side the rooms and bathrooms were a bit small when compared to others I have been to (only a shower and no tub was available in our room). Secondly, be prepared for the typical time-share speech...they can be pushy about signing you up, so be firm about it and they will let you be. Third, the pool area is built right on the beach, with concrete extending well into the beach area. This results in a very narrow beach area with no room for the typical thatched huts...so no shade when on the beach and no room for beach volleyball. Forth, poolside entertainment also felt short when compared to other Caribbean resorts I have been to, mainly for lack of enthusiastic personnel. So in conclusion, if you are looking for a wild party all day long, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a relaxing and pampered vacation and do not mind a 10 to 15 minute drive when you are ready to get wild, then this is the place.

I absolutely love the Royal Solaris Cancun. My family and I stayed there august of 2004 and I just booked another trip to go back in august 2005. I don’t have a negative thing to say about this place the food, people, & atmosphere was simply great. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I loved this hotel! It was a lot of fun. My friend and I had a great time at the Royal Solaris. We loved the entertainment staff. However, the hotel didn't really seem like it should be a 5 star hotel. I think after a little bit of renovations, it definitely could be. The entertainment staff made that hotel! They were a lot of fun and had a lot of great activities. They were very friendly and hot! We love you Gohan, Eduardo, Alexis, Adan and Tony (Speedo)!

I have been to the Royal Solaris Cancun 3 times and will be back! I love everything about this hotel. The Entertainment staff is the best. They are all so much fun and show that to each guess. I recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.

Royal Solaris is the best resort ever. I've been there 4 times and I'm only 20 years old. I'm going back in three weeks with my best friend and parents. The service the staff and food and events are awesome. I love this place.

We have been to Cancun 3 years in a row. The Royal Solaris was the best yet. We traveled with several other families. We had the best vacation ever. Even the kids. We are thinking about coming back in April over the Easter break. Met several nice people from all over

I cant see another hotel being more exciting, as the Royal Solaris lived up to my expectation. The staff, food, and entertainment was awesome.

My family and I have been going to Cancun for over twenty years and while we have stayed at a number of hotels through the years, they last five have been truly wonderful at the Royal Solaris. I guess the best part is that each year we return we are greeted by wonderful people who remember us and make us feel so welcome. I think that we done most things in Cancun and I guess the best part is that you know that you will be treated well.

Royal Solaris was wonderful, alive, music, food, the pools the people the shops it was wonderful and we are planning to go to Cancun in march 2004 for my husband 40th birthday and planning to bring my kids and stay at the Royal Solaris no doubt about it. Even if I stayed there for 4 hours and looked around plus my sister in law stayed there and she was right she wouldnt change it for the world. My husband and I look forward spending 2 weeks there all inclusive that is for sure.

Royal Solaris is a great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even taught me some of the Mexican language. The food was very good. You could eat as often as you want and pretty much anything you want, seafood, Italian, hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries, etc. The theme nights offered a variety of things Caribbean, Mexican, and Latin cuisine. The view from my room was wonderful. The Entertainment was great with Las Vegas style shows each night. I loved it and will go back.

Stayed at Royal Solaris in July, 2003. It did not live up to its 5 star reporting. The food was average at best and the restaurants had the same food over and over again, nothing new. Only 2 places to eat were open at one time and there were times when you could not get any food at all. They advertised that you could get food at all hours. Not true. One of the restaurants only served breakfast, never lunch or dinner. The other 2 only served dinner. There was one restaurant that served lunch and dinner but it was the same food for both lunch and dinner. No variance. At one restaurant we had to wait 2 hours to be seated and another hour for our food. The entertainment was good but I will not stay at this resort again.

We loved our stay at the Royal Solaris. The entertainment was the best. Every one of the workers was so nice, and helpful. The hotel was very clean.

The Royal Solaris in my opinion is the best hotel I have stayed at in my life. I have traveled extensively through out the world and the room, food and entertainment were great. The only draw backs were the hard beds and construction in the lobby.

My friends and I stayed at the Royal Solaris March 2003. By far it was the best vacation I have ever been on. The entertainment staff was great. I cant wait to book my next vacation.

Royal Solaris is awesome. I have been to Cancun many times and unfortunately I have stayed at the royal solaris only once, but now that is the only hotel I will stay at! The entertainment team was great. (Freddie especially...if he is still there) No other hotel in Cancun compares to the Royal Solaris. I met so many people there that I still talk to today. The beach is beautiful, and the food was great. The staff at the hotel really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I was there during a big storm that lasted for almost 3 days, the power went out and everyone still had fun...we made guacamole in the lobby! I will never forget this hotel. It is the best place to stay in Cancun!

I had the best time of my life at the Royal Solaris and I can guarantee I will be back! The entertainment was the best, and they made my vacation memorable!

I thought that the Royal Solaris was awesome! I have stayed here 4 times and when I am in Cancun I would stay nowhere else.

Royal Solaris did not live up to a five star hotel. I was very disappointed, upon entering my room it smelled as if it had not been occupied in months. It smelled of mold and mildew. I tried to get an iron which took 35 minutes for the chambermaid to bring. The food was ok, not many selections though.
