Safari Inn is a small, friendly, 12-room hotel conveniently located in downtown on the waterfront.

Rooms are simple yet modern, clean and comfortable. All have air conditioning and private bath with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Four rooms have a king bed and three twin beds, and can sleep 5 persons. Two rooms have a king size bed, plus 2 twin beds and sofa to sleep 4 persons. Six rooms have king beds and a sofa, suitable as doubles.

At Safari Inn’s prices, many travellers staying in Cancun or the Riviera Maya, can afford to dive Cozumel’s extraordinary coral reefs by arriving on the island the evening before, spending the night in Cozumel; in order to calmly and conveniently dive the next morning, and return to the mainland in the afternoon.

I have stayed here with my dive partner on several occasions. I strongly recommend this hotel for those looking for clean, spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a hotel for those not needing or wanting the frills typically found at the resorts. The rooms have A/C, plenty of hot water, tile floors. Not fancy, but a great deal. This is located above the Aqua Safari Dive shop on the main street, 3 blocks south of the town center. Easy access to restaurants.
