I had a good time at the Ocean Club hotel. My room was on the ground level. I loved walking out my door and taking a few steps to the bar/grill. Benny, The man who runs the grill was very funny! The hike from the hotel to the main strip was a little far, but, I got my exercise in. The room was huge. It had a kitchen, kitchen table, mini fridge, two couches. It was great. There were two large dead cockroaches on the floor in the kitchen...but...they were dead! Hey it is Mexico, what do yo expect?!

After reading all these awful reports we arrived very apprehensively to the Ocean Club, but all was dispelled on entering them and if you are due to stay here do not worry. We came with air tours via late deals.com and were more than happy for the price paid. We had our room changed from the third floor to ground (medical reasons) the request was greeted with a smile and immediate satisfaction. The staff is polite and helpful. On a closer look it could do with a tickle but this will not ruin your holiday. The apartments are large an airy. Eduardo who runs La frigatta, the poolside bar, with help from Lettie serves good and reasonable food; he is very helpful on the area too. Yes there are mossies so don't open the patio doors early morning and be vigilant but they are no worse than anywhere else. It really is OK and we would willingly go again.

After a 40 minute shuttle from the airport and dropping vacationers off at impressive hotels, we arrived at the Ocean Club Cancun. It kind of looked liked the hotel in our brochure and internet pictures. Yah! Twenty years ago when it was first built. The front lobby, grounds, pool, and rooms were in very poor shape and dirty resembling the area that it was located in. What a JOKE, spend an extra $30 U.S. on a real 3 star or 4 star hotel and you will never have to go through this nightmare like my wife and I did. (Bring your walking shoes...nothing nearby)

Please dont not go to the Ocean Club Cancun if you want to enjoy Cancun. This is a motel rather than a hotel. It is very dirty (stained linen, and bedding), most of the employees dont speak English. The info about it is wrong. I give it a poor 1 star rating, 45 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes shuttle to the Westin Hotel beach, no restaurant, bathroom has a dirty stained shower stall. This is not what we paid for. Dont even think about using the pool, you might get a disease. The kitchen area... dirt and grind. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, you can get a better place on the ocean for the same price. We are never going back.
