Hello! My husband and I just returned from Sunscape Puerto Aventuras on May 20th. We spent five nights there for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved everything about our trip! All of those people who gave bad reviews are nuts. What they describe in their reviews is not the Sunscape we experienced. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were in an Ocean view Deluxe room and it was incredible. There was an amazing view of the beach and ocean. Our room was always in excellent condition. We always had clean towels, and a stocked minibar. We also received turn down service every night. The food was good to excellent, most being excellent. The only restaurant we did not try was Oceana, as I do not like seafood. I could rave for three more pages, but I will finish by saying the best part of our experience was the service. EVERYONE at Sunscape is amazing. Thank you!

My husband and I just spent our honeymoon at Sunscape (03/24/06). We had the best time ever! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The 24 hr room service was amazing. I loved the night-life, they had nightly shows and a DJ beach party. We would 100% recommend this hotel. An example of good service: Our remote control for the TV broke so we called front desk and within 5 min we had a new one. Our towels were stocked twice a day. The staff really made our stay special.

My family along with another have just returned from the Sunscape Puerto Aventuras on Monday 3/28/05. What a nightmare! We spent a full 24 hrs. without electricity or running water. And a full 6 nights without a/c in 91 degree weather. We were lied to repeatedly about when power would be restored and they would not provide fans for anyone. There was no a/c in any bars or restaurants. All bars were shut down at 10:45 except for the indoor sports bar and the temp. inside was 100+. As far as the staff they were useless in all aspects from management all the way down to the maid and room service. The one plus was the weather they couldn't take that away from us. We booked our trip through Apple Vacations and are in the process of trying to receive a partial refund. Do yourself and others a big favor and stay away form this resort…

I have been to the Sunscape Puerto Aventuras and it was so much fun. The food was great and the staff was so much fun. I made friends with a lot of the staff there and still talk to a few of them. It was a great time and I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know. Thanks for such a great time!

I just got back from a week's vacation at Sunscape Puerto Aventuras - and I had an absolutely incredible time. The hotel was clean, the rooms were large (though the beds are very hard), the entertainment staff was fun and the food was great. As a vegetarian, I found that I had more variety than I had expected, and the kitchen staff was willing to provide me with food not on the buffet or menu - some tortillas and guacamole, some potatoes not cooked in butter, etc. The beach is small and fabulous. The disco tended to be a little slower that I had expected, but not for lack of spirit on the entertainment staff's part.

My wife and I along with six other people just spent a month at Sunscape Puerto Aventuras last week. I would never recommend this resort to anyone I like and I don't think I would recommend it to anyone I did not like. The grounds were well kept, the rooms were clean. The staff on the other hand couldn't care less if you were there or not. It seemed as though they were doing you a favor by allowing you to stay in there hotel. Most of the staff spoke French as a second language, (Get the Picture) One example: We had a water leak from the light fixture over the toilet in the bathroom, when I reported it to the desk the clerk said they would see. The next day when I went to inquire about the possibility of getting the leak fixed the clerk said I should use an umbrella while I sat on the toilet so as not to get dripped on. The Food was fair at best and as to getting drinks at the bar, you never knew which one was open. When you found an open bar the bartender might put a half shot of liquor in the cup. The night life was non-existent, the pools closed at 6:00 pm, the entertainment was horrible. I can't say enough bad things about this resort. Again Run
