I cannot believe that anyone visiting this resort could have a bad experience unless the weather was terrible. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay a great one. Yes I agree the food is not top of the line but it's still pretty good. Just an idea but just take the meal plan for three days and take the five minute walk or $5 cab to town where there are many different restaurants with great food at great prices. You might want to stop at Wal-Mart and stock up on some refreshments for when you’re not on the meal plan.

This location is great, food was adequate, service was very good, staff was very friendly and helpful. We did buy a timeshare at the Sunset Fisherman Playacar.

Very tiny hotel which makes it unique and very beautiful. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Beach very tiny but the pools are superb. Most courteous and friendly staff. Highly recomment this place.

The introduction resort tour for Sunset Fishermen ended up a time share presentation. The all inclusive ended up a meal plan with average food quality, if you want snacks or lobster it will cost you, the carbonated drinks don't exist. The quiet resort becomes a car sales office, the beach turned into a pool size. The use of dial up internet cost will keep you from staying in touch. The bracelets don't mean anything, they will bug you for the resort card every time, the best time was away from the resort. I will go back to the Sister Resort SUNSET LAGON and eat at SUNSET ROYAL.

The Fisherman Village is tiny! All-inclusive means 2 meals a day and nasty looks when you order liquor. The spa is busy and you feel like a number. Nail polish chipped in two days. All I could say is YUCK. Horrible experience at for such a beautiful area.

I love this resort. The setting and location is beautiful, tucked away just a short walk to the Cozumel ferry and Playa Del Carmen quaint downtown. So much to see and do. Food and service is fun and wonderful. Sunset Fisherman is small which is the good thing as you find a special type of person goes to a small resort. The type that are friendly and fun. We have been 3 times to this resort and always leave with a new friend. This location is right ion the middle of everything Mayan easy access. If you like to have fun with new people or relax in the hammocks or move around all the different fun places on the coast this is the place. I could go on and on about this area and place. Love it!
