This was the best holiday we ever had. The food in the hotel was fantastic, great service and large choice of food. The rooms were always very clean. There was entertainment by the pool every day. We made so many friends and all went out with the entertainment staff every night. All the staff there can’t do enough for you. I would recommend Torre Dorada every time.

I recently spent 1 night at Torre Dorada. On arrival I found it to be very dirty. With a tiny dirty bar. Our romm on arrival (well it wasn’t even cleaned or beds made) the bedding was on the floor, litter all over the room, bins not emptied, pillows on the floor. So we asked for another room and got 1 strait away that was clean. The restaurant was very small with not a lot of choice. The pool was not clean. The carpets were very dirty and stunk. Please, please, please, don’t go in it, demand to be moved. Paid 100 us each and got to the Barcelo. It is absolutely fantastic right on the beach. PS: Don’t go to the Carrousel either, it is just as bad. If you need more advice please email me.

Staff Very friendly, this is the only thing I can say about Torre Dorada that is good. The servery in the restaurant was 6 foot square which left room for little choice, food was mainly cold. Bar was very dirty and would only hold up to 30. The rooms themselves had no shelving or drawers. The hotel use to be a Mexican Self Catering Hotel, in your rooms you still had the stainless steel sink and drainer. There is still building work going on, the top 6 floors. To reach the beach you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic that was very busy. Both swimming pools were very small and only 4ft deep. The children only had 3 play things that were rusty and had wooden slacks missing, there was nil entertainment in the evening and very little during the day. Overall this hotel is no where near the standard of a 3 star Hotel. I would not recommend this hotel at all and during my stay at least 14 other couples vacated to other hotels.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Cancun. Hotel staff at Torre Dorada extremely friendly and helpful, and rooms cleaned and beds and towels changed every day. Some of the facilities are a little basic and 'tired', and there were insufficient sun beds unless you bagged one at 7.30am! Bar very small - not enough places to sit if you can't get out to the pool due to the tropical storms, and the pool bar shuts. Food lovely, but some people found it not to their liking - can’t please everyone! No problems with tummy upsets or anything like that, and thank goodness for the air conditioning. Would definitely return.

Torre Dorada is a smallish hotel. Very very helpful and friendly staff. Beautifully clean and very large rooms. Took my 3 children, as it is not a big commercial hotel, it was ideal.
